Justice For Brisenia Flores, 9 Years Old

By Teresa Montez, published on Jun 18, 2009

...themselves from their former darling.

Reading about this horrible murder and looking at the picture of sweet faced Brisenia; I cannot fathom the pain that her mother feels.  Her little girl was killed for being Mexican ironically they live in an Arizona Border town only 10 miles from Mexico.   I cannot help but be reminded of the four little girls killed in an Alabama church in 1963, also by white supremacists. The anti-immigrant movement is blasting us back to the age of lynching.

Within the past month, Brisenia Flores and her father Raul were killed; Stephen Tyrone... (more)

...they were given a chance and they’ve blown it. Obama hasn’t been in office 100 days yet and he’s already bowed to a foreign leader, apologized to virtually every country in the world for anything America has done or may have done to offend them and just today, while in Mexico kissing the ass of President Filipe de Jesus Calderon, Obama met with Venezuelan Dictator Hugo Chavez and shook hands with him – Chavez, the same man who two years ago called President Bush “the devil” and America “evil”. All The Right Changes: The New And Improved La Bamba

Just as I slowly grew accustomed to their bathrooms when I was a foreigner, I suppose it takes them a while to get accustumed to ours.Having lived and traveled through Mexico for a year in my twenties, I became desensitized to very "well used" looking eateries and their bathrooms. All of them with their sea foam green and cotton candy pink interiors mingled with the occassional cockroach or stray piglet running around beneath your feet.I don't know about El... (more)
