...with each other in disposition, point of view, or sensitivity.3) A person with whom you have an immediate connection the moment you meet -- a connection so strong that you are drawn to them in a way you have never experienced before. As this connection develops over time, you experience a love so deep, strong and complex, that you begin to doubt that you have ever truly loved anyone prior. Your soulmate understands and connects with you in every way and on every level, which brings a sense of peace, calmness and happiness when you are around them. Forbidden Love

By taking off the mask, published on Dec 28, 2009

...wanted our bodies to combine

but faith wouldn't have it

or maybe it was my morals

but today it all changed

because our hidden dreams we did say

we want to be together

have the relationship that was forbidden

but than we remembered the other reason

and religion came up in the discussion

neither of us were willing to budge

we both loved our gods way to much

he is a Christian

I am a Jew

so there isn't much we can do

we won't bend

so we can never be anything more than just friends

The Gesture

By Gurmeet Mattu, published on Dec 23, 2009

...not a great help.”She smiled. “That’s part of the challenge. Knowing what to do.”He shifted uneasily on the couch. “I was proposing marriage, not slaying dragons.”She reached across and stroked his nervously tapping hand. “All I want you to do is prove that you love me. A gesture.”He stuck his tongue out at her. “Will that do?”He didn’t know if she’d placed a time limit on him, but the days were passing and he was getting worried. What did she want? What could he do? What did she expect of him? He loved her, there was no doubt of that, and... (more)

She Must Be In Denial!

By Shari G, published on Aug 22, 2009

...and being emotional always stirs up other things and before you know it, I'm talking to myself in the mirror and putting on a dramatic scene. (Maybe they're not far off with this therapist idea). ;)

In any case, I'm "known" on some of these sites as being the "pick-me-up" girl or the "Love and Light" girl or the "smiley girl". My "real-life" friends know this about me. However, some believe that this is all a cover-up! A mask! A facade! A lie! (GASP) Do you know how many times I've heard that, or she's just covering up a bunch of issues, or she'll break down sooner than later.... (more)

What Is Love?

By baynurse, published on Jul 10, 2009

I asked my mother, What is love?  She said, A mother is love.

I said, what if you die? does love die too?

I asked my friend, What is love? She said it is when we feel each other even when we are far apart.  I said, but you live far away, you are busy all the time with your job, your family your other interests...  She said, yea, but sometimes love is like that.

I asked God, what is love?  He said, I AM LOVE.  I asked, so how do I know your love?

He said, I gave you my Sun.   She is a powerful, bright, constant source of warmth and light.   She was the first of my... (more)

Choosing To Love In Spite Of Heartache

By Lumiere, published on May 15, 2009

... child, given too many toys to play with and no desire to share of himself. He creates this illusion that he is a sharing person, but he is really stingy with apologies and sharing his true feelings in a compassionate way.

LL: I am sure you also wonder how he could forget what you had, the love and friendship which once existed between you. Sometimes, people who are extremely successful can suffer from a sense of entitlement that the world is a cheese factory and they are a mouse who can do anything they want and treat anyone how they want, regardless of another persons feelings. If... (more)

Hormones Of A Happy Marriage

By AM Nelson, published on Sep 5, 2008

...(yet). Along with a personality profile from dating services, perhaps a health record might be available. Think back to a “simpler” time when marriage licenses required a blood test and screening for most STDs.

Although this health information seems practical prior to falling in love, problems of privacy immediately jump to mind. Besides, can you imagine the black market for fake genetic papers filling the Internet market similar to prescription drugs and fake IDs? The shady figure in that black, windowless, kidnapper van who creates fake IDs for underage drinkers may turn ... (more)

The Coming Of Spring

By Umbrae, published on Mar 18, 2008 Perhaps some of us even begin to think of terrible things like Mortgages. But few of us realize that the first word in something like "Mortgage" is "Mort" otherwise known as "Morte", or "Death." Death and Taxes -- the things that Spring brings to us. Such desperation drives the hope of love, and so we seek love here in this season. Love brings security and hope. The things that, later on in life, amount to what's left of the dreams we had as children. There's nothing wrong with that. There's absolutely no dire essence to finding someone you can spend some time with. However, we... (more)
