6 feet underground

I am love-dug

my head spins round and round

I am love-dug

Trap is my soul here,

my body's up there,

my pain's shining bright,

but my ego's uptight!

I am proud of myself

for not exhibiting on a shelf,

the scar that ne'er heals,

the torture that ne'er kneals,

my love got me down

and now I hear no sound

6 feet underground

I am love-dug

my head spins round and round

I am love-dug

Up in the sky there's a thunder,

yet my body's not ready... (more)

Thinking of You!

By Frank - icare2be, published on Nov 17, 2010

I am thinking of you!

I think of you each month. No, more than that.

I think of you each week. No, No, more than that.

I think of you each day.No, No, more than that.

I think of you each morning As I wake,

And as I lay my head on the pillow. No, No, more than that.

I think of you with each breath I take. Now that is getting closer.

I think of you with each thought I have. Now that is exaggerating.

But I am definitely thinking of you!

I know you would rather beHere with me and others too.Our time together was the key.My life improved because of you

My friends, yes, more than one.Chats morning and evening. They feel the nearness of their loved one.Their words, the veil between them thinning.Today, I share my dreams. My thoughts, even my prayers. You have heard me, it seems. There will be no more tears

In my heart you residebeside me each day you walkcontinuing your role as a guide.I listen and learn as we talk

Thank you... (more)

Weather Patterns

By L DeSilva-Johnson, published on Nov 5, 2010

...warmth on toes and eyelids,

(lest one lull too soon.)

No almanac guides

through these seasons of the heart,

no algorithm

foretells their chaos

beyond approximation.

Yet we venture out,

thrilling to another's snows,

formula absent.

Ours an ecstatic

frustration: as grasses yearn,

await succor in

rain's so sweet relief

these droughts contain fulfillment

in promise alone.

Who portends to know

the whims of this, or weather,

will never love well.

Wishful thinking

By SZU, published on Nov 3, 2010

On prodding reality,

I realize it today,

you are sitting next to me

yet you'r a thousand miles away...

your hand I hold,

but virtually,

I wear this smile,

If you have nothing to say,

then can you just sing?

To help me feel,

A fake spring.

Where fancy is a bud,

and care is a rose,

to drench us in love,

a warm river flows,

where you are with me...

not miles away,

where our love resides with patience,

forever to stay.

Ahhh.. The Dance Your dance of life and loving.

By Frank - icare2be, published on Oct 31, 2010

Ahhh... The DanceOne step forward. One step backward. One step to the left.

The dance goes on.Pick your partner carefully. One step forward.Pick one, not more.

The dance goes on.Three or more - steps on toes.Causes pain ,One step backward.

The dance goes on.Pay attention to the dance.Avoid going bump in the night. One step to the left.

The dance goes on.Hold your partner with care and love. There are others who want your place. One step forward.

Ahhh...The dance goes on.

Art and Power

By Lynda Lehmann, published on Oct 28, 2010

...for us to step back or undercut the tendency to power struggles, that so often consumes people. (The last thing we need in this weary world is more conflict, personal or generalized, to spew hatred around the globe!)

I have heard it said, also, that we artists make art in order to find love and to be loved. I think the apex of this is that in the tender connections we make to the universe, we find some degree of self-love. I think this is a balanced form of self-love that perceives the relative and tenuous nature of things, including the subjective nature of our own lives.... (more)

I Knock but the Door Opens Not

By Frank - icare2be, published on Oct 25, 2010

I Knock but the Door Opens Not.How does one cross over to the other side? What is the secret of releasing oneself from this mortal being?I see my dieing Mother wanting so desparately to cross over.

Mother has journeyed long.Illness has struck her low And brought her close to the door. There is no turning around. The journeys end is nigh.

Waiting for release so intense. The suffering so great. "Please help me! I want to die."My heart breaks as Mom's has.How can I answer this question?

The answer has been."I do not know, but let me hold your handand wait with you."

Let... (more)
