My Fair Lady

By Uttam Gill, published on Jan 15, 2012

On to the canvass of life, I have seen the transactions of love, expectations, disillusionments, alignment or realignment of relations, and flickering hopes with stark reality. With the conclusive evidence, the glaringly picture which emerges, provides reasons of disproportionate enormity, with wide difference between dreams and reality. And from this let me identify my fair lady.

She is my fair lady, who is wise, mature, loving, caring, kind, communicative, and also the one, who can stir, my imagination with sensuality. Let me say more; that I would like to be possessed constructively... (more)

Something Is Being Said

By Betty B., published on Jan 11, 2012

Something is being said across the whole world.

Something is being said for all to hear.

Something is being spoken for us to be awoken,

Something is giving us life to beat all this strife,

Something is being loving to heal our pain and sorrow,

Someone has given us a new tomorrow, Something is being said,

He is saying take His hand He is saying forget the trials for they take you far,

Far into a land where life is left unknown, He is saying, I am life,I am the true vine,

take my hand and we will live in eternity for all time, for all days... (more)

Back To Back - The dissolution of a marriage

By D. Sager, published on Jan 9, 2012

... flowed freely, around all your barter

Driving on into my own peril,

she would slay me, with just one arrow

Entranced by her wiles, I followed her to hell,

but my back not guarded, I swiftly fell.

Barely I survived, held under the water of pain,

my mental lungs bursting to breath love again

Fire scorched and burned through all my nerves,

it never went out, smoldering in the curves

Struggle to gain ground, to get back to back again,

Back to back one day, I long for a friend.

The king and qeen with their rainbow

By Uttam Gill, published on Jan 5, 2012

He sold his empire today and she borrowed the crown to be a queen for the day. From the rags of life they pull the comfort, to find a place of their own.

While excavating their dreams they extract truth which was lying for years, unsold and untouched. With the fortune of their find they vacate the burdens to unwind and feel the confluence of two souls. From a charted route, they leave the edges and glide into the spaces, to unravel the mystic of life; untrammelled and unbridled.

Unknown to the other and oblivious of facts the extent of such demarcation they hold the brush to the... (more)

Why We Shouldn't Argue About Sex

By Thom Hunter, published on Jan 5, 2012

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” -- Matthew 22:36-40

Christians do few things worse than share the love of Christ and the reality of healing and forgiveness with the sexually-disses among us. That would be the disoriented, the disappointed, the disturbed and the roundly discussed and often... (more)

Leaving

By D. Sager, published on Jan 3, 2012

I gave love the last burst of my precious energy,

hoping to revive her before she passed on to the light.

No shock on earth could ever start that heart again,

growing cold as stone before my eyes.

The hardness creeps in like darkness at sunset,

first intriguing and beautiful, but then, a cold wind

blows from the darkness, night is coming.

One last chance I gave love, I started a fire in her,

using all the dead life I had in me as fuel.

Nevertheless, she refused to breathe.

Now I feel her life ebbing from my... (more)

His Touch

By Betty B., published on Jan 1, 2012

When I think about your touch, I long to feel it so much, Your calmness is so important, The way You bestow your Love.

When I think about your touch, I long to have Your Love in me more and more to have You restore, I long to hear your voice within me, and to have your hand hold mine, and we never come untwined.

Lord,to know You more is what I want, how can I feel Your loving touch that means so much.

That one gaze makes all the difference. Whereever you are, the magical glance, as it broods over you, simply makes time stand still. You are floored; your heart pounds and you wonder is that love. I Know You

By D. Sager, published on Dec 29, 2011

I see you. Hiding there. You think there is no one like you, no one that understands, no one that imagines what you imagine, embarrassed by your fantasies, feeling guilty about the thoughts you think. Your mind goes on journeys, far, far away. You know I'm talking about you, the married man, the happy family man, entertaining those impulses. I see you young lady, thinking what it would be like. I see you, Mr. minister, thinking that your exuberance for religion, which you try desperately to follow, will save you. You do things that are leading you farther down the road to escalation, to... (more)

I used to be better than that.

By Betty B., published on Dec 27, 2011

...and then life seems to go downhill from there. I remember when I was a little girl there was so many trials storms at home my mom and dad were good parents. Dad got sick over the years with cancer and mom was not in her good health. Sometimes I think she made herself sick so that he would love her. He wasn't a very nice man at times especially when he got sick. My mother took so much from him over the years. This made her into a strong woman. She is 72 years old now and she has been through so many surgeries and almost died a few times but got better because I think he knows how... (more)
