Los Angeles Lakers Fans Got Game
Los Angeles-The inaugural Lakers 3on3 Basketball Tournament presented by NIKE was held on a hot weekend, August 14-16, 2009. Coca Cola, Powerade and Vitamin Water were in attendance to insure that everyone stayed hydrated. A portion of player registration fees were donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California. Parks and gyms were missing a lot of basketball players this weekend. It seems like the entire street ballers were all downtown for this event. Players came from all over Los Angeles and surrounding cities.

An afternoon in one of the most interesting and creative culture hub's in the inner city of Los Angeles - Leimert Park. This was affair that was filled with community engagement, wonderful music, an array of booths with compelling art pieces, jewelry, social consciousness posters, plaques, Music Cd's and DVD's, excellent food,and face painting.

Joyous Sounds of Jazz at St. Andrews Park
Los Angeles-I celebrated the beginning of the month of August with several hundred like minded lovers of jazz at the annual St. Andrews Jazz Festival, August 1, from 12 noon until 8PM. The City of Los Angeles Presented the annual Community St. Andrews Jazz Festival, Sponsored by: Empowerment Congress and Southwest Neighborhood Council.
I heard some heavenly voices as I rounded the corner from Manchester Blvd. to St. Andrews Place to the festival site. Southern California Golden Chorale kicked off the celebration with some uplifting... (more)

There was a spectacular departure that took off from Crowne Plaza's Lounge, only minutes away from the Los Angeles International Airport known to most of us as simply (LAX) with Fuasi Khaliq and his roaring yet beautiful ensemble on July 31.
They presented a series of in flight adventures for those interested in excitement, ecstasy, and excellent execution of innovative compositions.
