Iran Leader claims Israel 'A Wound To Be Cleansed'

By Shaun Gibson, published on Aug 2, 2013

Iran's president-elect Hassan Rouhani has called Israel an old "wound" that must be removed. These statements would seem to cast doubt on the viability of efforts to revive peace talks betwen the Palestinians and Israel.

His comments echoed those of outgoing president Mahmound Ahmadinejad who earlier whipped up anti-Israel sentiment at an Quds day rally in Tehran.

He said: "I will inform you with God as my witness, a devastating storm... (more)

By Shaun Gibson, published on Jul 30, 2013

...how we can gain control back in our world, a world that was long lost to corporate greed and men in suits who must may dividend out to a shareholder leaving us ordinary people to fight to eat and keep a roof over our heads as everything is getting real expensive. How many soldiers are we going to send to their death for profit?

Hungry In America: Huge Demand For Free Meals

By Shaun Gibson, published on Jul 29, 2013

Summer feeding programmes tackling hunger across America say they are seeing unprecedented demand for free food.

Millions of meals are served every week to children who do not eat properly during the school holidays.

Tennessee is one of many states that has various schemes designed to help youngsters get through the summer.

Small Things Do Matter

By anndimp, published on Jul 23, 2013

Life is not just about an achievement or name

Money, luxury or a beguiling fame

It is all about those small and ordinary things

For a contented living, they lend wings

In our day to day life we find

Many small things of this kind

Which can create a paradise on earth

For exhilaration there is no dearth

The gentle caress of your mother when you are sad and morose

Heals a thousand wounds in its course

A lean against the strong shoulders of your father

Gives the assurance of security like none other

The tender smile... (more)
