I Believe

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Dec 1, 2012

I am in a place of such gratitude that I thought I wanted to share this . I know life can be difficult and there are times where we may want to just give up or give in...but please remember you have so much more strength than you may know...

The last couple of weeks I have had surgery on my vision over the years has gotten worse and worse and I was told years ago that I may not be able to read at some point in time. I have never spoken about this as I prefer always to focus on the positive and seldom will mention any problems I have had in life. The reason my vision was... (more)

By Rahul, published on Nov 29, 2012' and I couldn't give an answer then. Love is the only word on which each person can give an interpretation of his own; there is no right or wrong about it because no one really knows what love is and what it means. Some hate it, some embrace it, some so blinded by it that they give their life for it. The word always leaves someone hurt, sometimes your family, sometimes your friends and sometimes yourself or the other, pity it’s so because I thought this words was meant to keep everyone happy. So I asked myself ‘what is love?’ I struggled to find an answer to it for a while but ... (more)

Clay POT

By Rahul, published on Nov 28, 2012

The clay pot sitting peacefully on top of a stone stove giving the rain water a spot to rest, a spark flies from nowhere to light a small fire.

Under the pot the leaves are dry while the rest lay around soaked by the morning fall, thus the clay pot gives shelter to the fire and thus allows it to flower.

For the one watching it would seem the flame gently touching the bottom of the pot, and heating the water that rest inside to steam that rises free.

In truth the fire is bashing the earthy clay trying to find a way through to burn free and wild, while the water inside prefers... (more)

The Reality of Living with Menopause

By HomeRearedChef, published on Nov 27, 2012

For some (like me), the never-ending up and down experiences have been, to some degree, rather traumatizing. And because there isn’t a manual, per say, I thought I’d brave to share just a little of what my life has been since becoming menopausal, and much of which have become embarrassing moments.

Sure, there is plenty of information out there, in books and on the internet, on what symptoms to expect: hot flashes, night sweats, loss of libido, mood swings, fatigue, sleep disorder, difficulty concentrating, memory lapses, weight gain, depression, anxiety, irritability, headaches, joint... (more)

Life Under the Influence of Menopause

By HomeRearedChef, published on Nov 21, 2012

This menopausal post is written with a great number of Italicized words and EXCLAMATIONS, both known to be seriously harmful to the eyes!!! You have been warned!!!!

So what annoys me to no-end? Actually, since becoming menopausal, what doesn’t!!! From the moment I get out of bed…NO! From the moment I step outside my house…NO!! From the moment I get in the car and am on the road, mingling with other drivers, I am like a woman on a mission!!! Not that that is what I was thinking I would do when I got up that morning. Stuff happens!!!

Basically; don’t get in my way! Don’t cut in... (more)

Into The Void...

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Nov 20, 2012

I am somebody

I am here now

In this time and place

I am not sure if I want to stay here

Or perhaps wander on to a new

A longing deep within

That only leaving will let me find

Stepping outside of myself

Into the great wonderous unknown

To a place of dreams and possibilities

In searching

Do we indeed find our Soul...

The unknown does not

Frighten me

What frightens me is not

Stepping into that void

And never knowing

What may of been...

Let me be brave

Lost In Complaency

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Nov 17, 2012

Is your life a compromise?

Doing what others dictate

In the process losing self

Feeling pieces of your soul

Falling into the abyss ...

Erasing your dreams

Living a safe life

Leaving you hallow

Regulated by the ticking

Of the clock...

Where did your smile go?

Why did you let them steal this?

Will you ever reach beyond?

Reconnect with your beautiful

Essence of sacred truth...

Bemoaned silence still lives

Though hidden from those

Judging our every breath

Suffocated... (more)

The Empire of King and Queen

By Uttam Gill, published on Nov 10, 2012

... everything razed to ground. They yell to sound their grievances and they sob to mourn over the losses.

In the spelled out danger, they foresee the extinction of empire and they knew, that they have to save their empire. The King and Queen knew the powers of prayer and they pray to enliven life in endangered empire. As they meet over the destruction with soul to soul connection, they reach out each other with understanding that empire needs to be saved. The realization set in and that in turn resuscitate the dying hope and so as the empire.

If anyone wishes to build the life... (more)

The Joy Of Taking A Trip To The Park

By Cherry4, published on Oct 23, 2012

The joys of making a trip to the park.

There are dome creepy looking people and some that look pleasant.

Families playing ball with their kids, couples having picnics or just holding hands while they stroll along, some taking rides in carriages, squirrels jumping around and who knew birds eat ice cream?

I had the honor of sharing my cone with one bird and apparently he went, told the others and an army came down next to me.

As for that squirrel, he used me for the nuts on the ice cream, then as soon as he got them all he ran away:)

Then there are the dog walkers:... (more)

You Will be Blessed

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Oct 21, 2012

...that needs to be spoken

More quietness of spirit

So you can hear your heartbeat

Knowing that all is well with your soul...

You will be blessed ...

In the silence of acceptance

You will find a spiritual

Gift that the noise and

Chaos of life will never

Steal and tarnish

With false beliefs...

You will be blessed...

Let this be your hunger

Un-quenched by the madness

Of material longings and things

May your gift be purity of heart

Your longings lived in faith...

You will... (more)
