Divine Compensation

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Jul 16, 2014

I know many of you may read this and not agree with me. But I know in my own life, this is what works for me. I refuse to walk around with bitterness, anger, or negativity of any kind.

It is easier, in my humble opinion, to bless someone than to harm them....if someone betrays you, pray for them....you want to change it, pray for them...pray for 5 minutes for their happiness for 30 days...because this is what alchemy is , this is what it is... any magical power or process of transmuting a common substance, usually of little value, into a substance of great value. Basically what... (more)

The Great Mystery of Life and Death

By Coach Phatty, published on Jun 18, 2014

...

I don’t understand what happened in that room, but I know what happened in my own spirit. It was made known to me by these two babies, one dying, one with new promise of health, that somehow this all resides together in the hands and the heart of God, the Creator. That the line between life and death, which had seemed so rock solid, was in fact very thin, very porous. That life and death are twins, enriching each other, bearing truth, communicating the complete nature of God.

Somehow, this has made it easier to live in a less divided way. We can fear a little less, rest a... (more)

HUT AT THE EDGE OF THE CLIFF

By Uttam Gill, published on May 31, 2014

...that there was instinctive force which could make my halt almost at the edge of the cliff…one step more I could have fall thousands feet down … I looked towards the side and in the twilight of the day I caught the breath taking sight of the hut at the edge of the cliff…I sensed the life exist at the edges too… I followed the distinctive trail, as if the trail waited for years to lead me to that hut… I reached there...Door was open with most welcoming gesture…The darkness around and the light from the hut indulges my mind to an effusive wonder of darkness and light… I... (more)

When Life Is Gray

By Coach Phatty, published on May 29, 2014

Life is a funny thing…there are times when a person feels great about themselves; their self-esteem is at an all-time high, everything in the world looks and feels as beautiful as a cool, crisp autumn day…nothing can be better.

Then come the “down times” in life; the moments in life when an individual feels as if they are beaten, battered, and worthless. It seems as though nobody cares about what they say (or do), their self-confidence is gone and life just seems to be going nowhere.

It is during these rough times that two kinds of people are made; those who dwell on the... (more)

I Will Always Hold You In My Heart

By Barbara MacDonald , published on May 28, 2014

...with me

My heart not able

To let you go...

I want to call you

Talking for hours

About everything

And nothing

I want to hear you laugh

Listen while you tell me

What I am doing wrong

You never bite your tongue...

We saw life so differently

You being you

Me being me

Still we learned

Met in the middle

Complimented each other

Respected without

Needing to be right...

I want to be happy

Knowing you no longer suffer

My heart does not want

To let... (more)

Finding Healing

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Apr 19, 2014

Today I wake with a hunger

to search the valley

A place where birth lingers

with it's sacred memories

Instead I find voices of condemnation

wounds which left me bleeding, sticks and stones

Still I look for healing, grace, truth, reality beyond

the narrow confines of intolerance and judgement.....

Finding none...

I climbed the mountain summit

Where I had placed my hopes and dreams

Breathless with perseverance

Resolution and persistence my tools

Embracing only the shadow of what had been

once upon... (more)

The China Earthquake: “You Must Remember That I Love You”

By Coach Phatty, published on Apr 5, 2014

This is a true story of a Mother’s Sacrifice during the China Earthquake.

After the Earthquake had subsided, when the rescuers reached the ruins of a young woman’s house, they saw her dead body through the cracks. But her pose was somehow strange that she knelt on her knees like a person was worshiping; her body was leaning forward, and her two hands were supported by an object. The collapsed house had crashed her back and her head.

With so many difficulties, the leader of the rescue team put his hand through a narrow gap on the wall to reach the woman’s body. He was hoping... (more)

A Death Note

By Rahul, published on Apr 4, 2014

It’s been fun drifting through the uncharted terrains of life even if it was for a short while. This might be my last note to this beautiful world, the last trace of my existence that I wish may last long enough for someone to read and realize that I did exist. The devil that's been behind me from the very moment life touched the shapeless lump of me in my mother’s womb has caught up to me now. I can feel its frozen breath over my shoulders and its long fingers around my neck; it chokes me by sucking out the last ounce of hope.

The road in front has shrunk into a fine thread, so fine... (more)

Don't Be A Crab!

By Coach Phatty, published on Mar 26, 2014

I decided to share a little bit of my life with you and tell you a short story of a lesson that I learned when I was a kid and still practice it to this day!

I am a born and bred “clam digger”, a “shore boy”, a plain and simple man that grew up and lived at the beach. There was nothing better than going fishing with my brother and dad on the rock jetties by the local inlet trying to catch Fluke, Flounder or some other tasty fish or sitting along the docks of the local boatyards attempting to haul in baby Bluefish.

Fishing wasn’t the only thing that we loved to do. If we... (more)
