By melanie jean juneau, published on Dec 10, 2012

...we gaze into their guileless eyes but there is much more grace that we can receive if we relax and allow their their love to flow into us! In the early, hectic years I would focus on trying to carve out quiet time to sit and replenish myself. One day while nursing one of my babies, I experienced a powerful surge of love pouring into my heart from my baby to me. I started smiling, heaviness and exhaustion lifted and joy started to bubble up from deep within me! In fact I discovered how to let my infant's love fill me. replenish me. energize me and infuse my heart with a fountain of youth.

A Strange Vocation

By melanie jean juneau, published on Nov 17, 2012

I was frantic..

Was I pregnant

yet again?

Then,

The unexpected.

A blanket of peace

Wrapped around me.

Suddenly,

Joy,

Light,

Laughter

Within.

I heard words

In my heart;

"This is you call.

This is your vocation.

This is your witness to the world."

Confusion.

"People don't understand

I look foolish."

A whispered answer,

"You will be a witness to

Life and Joy."

I said,

"Yes"

To Life

And

Discovered

Unexpected

You Will be Blessed

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Oct 21, 2012

May you find yourself

Surrounded in more love

Than missing that which

Has not yet come

More hope than unknown wonder.

More joy than apprehension.

You will be blessed ...

Gift you with more words to say

All that needs to be spoken

More quietness of spirit

So you can hear your heartbeat

Knowing that all is well with your soul...

You will be blessed ...

In the silence of acceptance

You will find a spiritual

Gift that the noise and

Chaos of life will never

Steal and tarnish

When you get confined to dictates of monotonous state of life, then you ask yourself that now, what to do. You grapple with answers, you are restless. You certainly don’t wish to be confined. All that boring times, tells you to do something, to infuse thrill in your life. In a bloody boring time, you wish to break out from the tyrannical monotony. And how you do that? Mighty Warriors of Weakness

By Thom Hunter, published on Mar 13, 2012

So . . . are you free to be ye yet?

Despite all the awe-inspiring technological advances in life, the countless avenues for gathering information, unlimited research on everything imaginable and the openness of modern life that allows pretty much anyone to share deep insight on absolutely anything that briefly piques their interest due to unlimited access to avenues of expression . . . we're not much closer to resolving the issues that lead us into rebellion and separation and solitude, it seems, or to the truth on the issues that blind us, bind us or define us.

We bow our heads... (more)

Your Life, Your Choice

By Shari G, published on Nov 2, 2011

I'm sitting at home watching mindless television and I can't seem to get these thoughts out of my head so I just decided to start writing. Sometimes I want to shake people and just get the world to understand that so much of our lives is in OUR control. That living a life of joy and happiness comes from YOUR soul. From YOUR heart. From YOUR choices. Nobody is just naturally happy or joyful. Like anything else, it takes work. Yes, life will absolutely throw you curveballs and life will absolutely make you question things some days but at the end of the day, your life is a gift and if... (more)

I will write tonight

By SZU, published on May 17, 2011

I will write tonight...

For the sake of my assuaging heart.

So what if I haven't felt sad for a while?

So what if my heart is no longer fragile?

So what if now I wear a smile?

So what if I've crossed a thousand miles...

from that pain that had killed me inside out,

from that disbelief that left incessant doubts. My words can be my partner

on my way to joy,

if then I was destined to sorrow

now I've a right to enjoy.

He should never know he changed me,

And that's my plan of ploy.

Love 101

By TonyBerkman, published on May 13, 2011

As a clown Dr. Patch Adams has been at 10,000 death-beds and has witnessed the power of love and compassion. In a quote he says, "if you have 7 days to live, I am your man." What a beautiful attitude and it couldn't be more true. We should all be so fortunate to have a Patch by our side. Well we are.

The written word cannot do Patch the justice that he deserves. Cher Duncombe had the privilege of interviewing Patch so that we can connect more with him and what compassion and love are truly about.

Don't take my word for it. Listen to the audio of this amazing interview... (more)
