Apple introduces iPhone 5 and new iPod
The all new iPhone 5 has been introduced by Apple CEO, Tim Cook earlier today. The keynote presentation started at 7.00pm, when an optimistic Tim Cook appeared on stage and hundreds of people inside the hall started cheering. "We've got some great things to show you", said Cook. He then introduced Apple marketing guru Phil Schiller for the actual introduction of the "most beautiful device we've ever made", said Schiller. The new iPhone has a 4 inch retina screen and is 18% lighter than the iPhone 4s. It's not an all glass case, but an all metal... (more)
...of what had fallen overboard. Tools? That’s happened more than once, but this time I wasn’t using any. It sounded fairly heavy.
I had been leaning over at a fairly acute angle…did something fall out of a pocket? I patted myself down and that’s when I realised I had just lost my iPhone in 30 feet of Pacific Ocean. I was angry. I was hurt by this unfair, callous treatment by Fate. I even wanted to blame my wife, as she had bought me this jacket, one with horribly inadequate pockets lined with a satin material that makes it wet-ice slippery to anything made of hard plastic.... My original article on Xmarks covers the basics and they haven't changed. The video is a decent review of Xmarks sync on the iphone. This gives a good visual overview of how easy Xmarks is to use.
Last Pass works on what they call a "Freemium" model where almost all the services and content are free. Additional content and services can be acquired by paying a small fee for premium access. They have brought this model to Xmarks. The mobile access on my Andriod OS to my bookmarks was well worth the $12/yr. Xmarks Premium is the best browser backup and sync solution for mobile users... Much of the world has come to know the joys of the iPhone. This most recent model, the iPhone 4, sold over 1.7 million units.
“This is the most successful product launch in Apple’s history,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “Even so, we apologize to those customers who were turned away because we did not have enough supply.”
Almost 77% of which were upgrades from the previous 3G and 3GS units. As many of you may already know, the newest model iPhone was not without glitches and problem on release day. Many complained of yellow screen tinting, others still had issues with the phone’s... (more)
I am a massive fan of Apple. I am writing on my Apple MacBook Pro and am connected to the web via Internet tethering on my iPhone. Apple seem to have a knack for inventing things that you never knew you needed until they showed them to you. A few years ago who could have predicted that one of their products, the iPod, would become so popular that entire waves of entertainment media would be created in the form of podcasts, a word which has found its way into everyday vocabulary as easily as googling?
With all of this in mind you may understand that I was more than a little bit excited... (more)
...and I can't surf the internet with a click of a button or check my e-mail remotely. I'm on Facebook, but I can't even begin to compete with those who change their profile pic every couple of days and put way too much thought into coming up with a catchy, cool status update to send from their iPhone [appropriately enough.] I don't have the time, the inclination, or the iPhone for that.I got a GPS for Christmas two years ago and it was only six months ago that I finally got around to opening the box."This is actually pretty convenient," I thought as I wondered why I hadn't tried it earlier. ...
