In the early years of the youthful American society men and women had clear cut roles, everybody knew their boundaries, and what was expected of one another. They knew who would stand watch over the children, and the children was fine with that daily arrangement, as long as someone baked a few cookies drank milk and bonded with them. They understood the ancient mysteries of nature, someone had to watch over the cubs while someone hunted.
