...but the difference with me is that I’m coming from a small town in Ohio whereas Russell comes from Toronto, which is the most cosmopolitan city in the world. So you go if you are in the right place at the right time, but you meet someone from some small town in Ohio and making it in Hollywood you kind of go “ok that could be me.” I’m a little more a little close to what the average Indian is.

...I was so looking forward to months ago. Unfortunately the experience was much like going to a party,given by one of your parents’ friends – you had to go, the party was okay, but staying home could of also worked out fine.This Transformers movie serves as a case study for a common Hollywood fallacy thatdictates, “More is better.” In thiscase more comedy, more explosions, and more robots didn’t make a more enjoyable movie. No Sheet music needed at Catalina's Bar and Grillin Hollywood for the Monday night gig that was raging with complexity arousing attentive ears, eyes, bodies, souls, and hearts on June 29th.
Tim Garland and his Lighthouse Trio gave a performance that will not be erased from anyone's senses that experienced it.

The annual Playboy Jazz Festival took place on June 13 and 14th at the Hollywood Bowl, in Los Angeles, CA. The line-up on both days ranged in style from Contemporary to Reggae while diversity abounded.

A Quincy Jones discovery - Alfredo Rodriquez - an incredible Pianist and his ensemble shared many tunes with a Latin tinge on Jazz favorites. His style was flourishing and invigorating despite the constant chatter as he utilized the upright Piano to his own advantage.... (more)
...Blvd. just in time to catch the last couple of tunes performed by Masanga Marimba as they presented a set of popular music and dance of Zimbabwe and Latin America. I had the pleasure of seeing this group on two prior occasions-California Plaza during Grand Performances Concert Series and at Hollywood and Highland. The group has since recorded two CD’s- self titled Masanga Marimba Ensemble and Mas Masanga and added two energetic dancers Ronnie Daliyo and Julia Chiyambo.

But, back to the subject of the Dodgers signing Barry Bonds. Just think of all the buzz it would create. It would piss off both Giants and Dodgers fans. Barry would embrace Hollywood and vice versa. It would be a great "forgive and forget" moment, a feel-good scenario unlike anything we've ever seen. And in the end, if Bonds can mean a few additional victories for the Big Blue, why not at least give it a try?
