Heads and Hearts

By DebTim, published on May 6, 2012

It’s funny how two parts of a whole are so completely different. I’m talking about our heads and our hearts. Both parts are very important yet they have completely different agendas. Take our heads for instance. Better yet take our minds. Even when we are sleeping our minds are busy. I don't think our minds will be happy unless they are active in some way. Whether it’s logical thinking or fantasies, our minds are constantly at work on something. Now our hearts seem to have a way of processing things as well but with a far different goal in mind. Our hearts essentially seek... (more)

They reject the shibboleth of hypocritical world.

By Uttam Gill, published on Apr 28, 2012

The pretensions of many is not the truth and we instinctively feel that; in spite of this, we shut our expression by masking the denial and this in turn puts the seal of approval. You know what happened there after, when masses accept this; it creates a world, in which truth becomes the first casualty. The articulated world of denial acquires the centrality. It unleashes rejection, brings disillusionment and negates permanence of sane thoughts. The appearances of life in lesser creative mode cease to expand beyond the world of restricted outlook. In the dominance of satanic forces world cry.

Let’s face the music and dance

By Uttam Gill, published on Apr 22, 2012

When you get confined to dictates of monotonous state of life, then you ask yourself that now, what to do. You grapple with answers, you are restless. You certainly don’t wish to be confined. All that boring times, tells you to do something, to infuse thrill in your life. In a bloody boring time, you wish to break out from the tyrannical monotony. And how you do that? The brush of gentle breeze, rustling leaves, thunderous clouds chirping birds creates an acoustic aura of dazzling sound. Magically within us in silence, we create our own music and that’s how you unshackle your self from dreary... (more)

Indulge Your Passions

By Randy Mitchell, published on Mar 20, 2012

In case you don’t recognize the man in the picture, he’s B.B. King, perhaps the most famous blues guitarist of our century.

I had the pleasure of seeing him perform during the 90’s in Washington D.C., and most recently here in Dallas a few weeks ago. He’s definitely slowed down some, lagging the aggressive and mesmerizing zip he once had (taking about 30 minutes to introduce his band). But, despite the fact that Mr. King is now well into his 80’s, thousands still flock to see him play every year looking to catch the wave of a living legend, still doing what he can to make us smile through... (more)

I Have My Spring with Me

By Uttam Gill, published on Mar 1, 2012

To me it appears, as if life is dancing… yes life is dancing for those who are in unrelenting mood to give up smile. Those who are not willing to smile, I beg them, to borrow smile with reasons…If they don’t have any, invent the reason….find the reason…Life cannot be wasted.

Umpteenth time the salacious moments transgressed into my life but I could always go pass such turbulent phase. And now also, I don’t need to fasten my belt, I would tread through. No matter what happens, I know now that, I have the repertoire of experience and unfazed, wish to take a course, which many with their... (more)

The Balance Act of Finding Happiness

By Randy Mitchell, published on Feb 20, 2012

We all seek happiness: that wonderful, peaceful feeling when we believe our personal universal stars are meticulously aligned, giving us that oozing and satisfying feeling. It can be found everywhere, and can hit you when least expected, sending you soaring to new heights along your life’s super highway. Many of us think we know what will make us truly happy: that winning lottery ticket, a romantic relationship filled with never-ending butterflies, or perhaps becoming eye candy for paparazzi-infused photographers hanging on your every thought or gesture. Once again, we all think we know what... (more)

In the wings of hope

By Cielo, published on Feb 8, 2012

IN THE WINGS OF HOPE

Suspended about all things

Turning spinning whirling

In wings of angels in clouds so white imagination ignite

The breadth of view; words beyond describe,

Glimmering stars in hair strung

Moon dust in eyelashes glimmer

Ghost moon

Shimmering imp

In reverie warp, to find liberation from limits

Rising above blunder

From the River of Existential Despair

(Hanging from my fingernails)

Tackling Pluto,

Striding the edge of Ceres

From Despair to Hope

In distant galaxies... (more)

New Years Everday

By Randy Mitchell, published on Dec 29, 2011

...relationships, and started new ones to name a few. I have no complaints at all of what transpired in 2011 for me. It was another phase of my life to be remembered and cherished, and one that forced me to learn some important lessons. Now 2012, I believe, will be even better.

The happiness, smacks on the lips, and hope-filled feelings we experience when the clock strikes midnight on 12-31 ought to happen everyday. Why not? After all, every moment we live on God’s earth should be looked upon as a gift. He wants us making the most of each one with great enthusiasm, a sense of... (more)
