Brokenness - No Pain, No Gain

By D. Sager, published on Jan 18, 2012

... on their wings. In the aftermath, when all I'm left with are pieces of whatever it was I had, or whatever I was, can come a miracle recovery. The process of healing and restoration can begin, a change taking place that would never have occurred if I were left whole. This is a miracle, a wonder of God, that He can take what life so tragically gives as pain and ruin and create out of this mess, a beauty of strength and wonder. For brokenness to help me, for it to begin surprising and wondrous changes, I must take the mess to the Creator. He forms the grandeur of the universe from chaotic... (more)

Why We Shouldn't Argue About Sex

By Thom Hunter, published on Jan 5, 2012

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” -- Matthew 22:36-40

Christians do few things worse than share the love of Christ and the reality of healing and forgiveness with the sexually-disses among us. That would be the disoriented, the disappointed, the disturbed and the roundly discussed and often... (more)

Joy to the Broken

By Thom Hunter, published on Dec 24, 2011

...for some, a balancing act between cheer and fear as they reflect for just a moment on what life might have been if it had mapped itself a little differently, with fewer obstacles and errant turns. While we join with others in the “what-is-its?” of Christmas morning, shaking packages before we open, we also have our share of “what-ifs?” to deal with. It’s just a part of the package. The broken one.

I bring you tidings of great joy. For unto you (the broken) was born that day, a Savior.

May God’s true and abiding love for you make this Christmas truly joyful.

...I lack credibility to be accepted as their own. I very humbly submit that I have met in this life very honest and committed persons and I bow my head with reverence towards them. In my revering salutation to them I say that I shall always remain indebted to them for making me a better person.God give me courage for not to wince against setbacks and make me humble enough so as not to mince any word to belittle anybody’s stature. Keep me as sane as you can my God. Let me not ever overestimate my own humbleness. Let me not assume my disposition as correct. My God if you cannot correct me ... (more)

You can't trust anyone these days.

By brealf, published on Dec 11, 2011

...look it up sometime! He sure knew where to place his trust, and it wasn't in trees, or in man, or in Governments or anything like that. He found he had to place his trust ultimately in the very highest possible being before he could do the same for mere mortals. Here is what he says: “Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track.” [Message version ~ Proverbs 3:5-6].

There can be no wiser words than these! When you cannot trust... (more)

Letter to my older Sister Didi who is suffering from cancer.

By Uttam Gill, published on Dec 4, 2011

... Didi,

With faith and prayer on my lips I am writing you this letter. Other day when we talked I felt your fear and pain. I hanged my phone down but the echoes of your sobs made me understood that things have changed. Life is not going to be same and understood that we need to have faith in God. The only healing belief of hope would keep you strong to fight this disease. This disease is curable. Didi, I know the quality which our mother imbibed in you and that has always made you a winner. You toiled hard to establish your business. You single mindedly pursuit your goal and attained... (more)

The Meaning

By The Truth, published on Oct 25, 2011

...Will we ever know the real answer?

Maybe that's the answer... maybe the ability to have so many different answers IS the answer..

People are a strange creature.. we have the ability to complain, to talk, to waste resources, TO THINK!

I know alot of people don't believe in God or Heaven or anything like that, but I ask you as your reading this to open up your mind for a bit, just to read this article and think.

What if God put us on this planet to have the ability to live and die. To complain and be satisfied. To be able to become and atheist or a follow a... (more)

I Was Raised Catholic So Sex Will Always Be Dirty

By Maylin Gonzalez, published on Sep 28, 2011

Let us face it! Many of us have once in a blue moon heard: "Your body is a temple designed by God" "Your body is sacred and so is the fruit within" "The body is not meant for fornication; it is for the Lord and the Lord for the body"

If you were raised in a religious home, this was enforced until you were either 50 years old or you deviated so much that you fornicated until your insides had rotten. Personally, I was not born in a religious home but it's as if it was. Old values were always enforced and with a Cuban military father and grandfather - Shit! You didn't even want to think... (more)

Daily Word for Sunday 7/18/2010

By Pastor Jeff, published on Jul 18, 2010

"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful" Col 3:15"Be thankful." Such a simple phrase, but what did Paul mean? Be thankful for what? To whom? Let's think about it.The first thing that comes to mind is to be thankful to God for giving us salvation through His Son, Jesus. That's good. If it weren't for that, our lives would really be meaningless. If there were no "eternity," why would we spend so much time being "good?" Without salvation, what purpose would there be in living for anyone by yourself? We all know self-centered people.... (more)

... is attempting to say, "What is sin to you may or may not be sin to me. Everything is relative." Whether you realize it or not, this philosophy is being taught in our public schools. All students today, understand this principle. Simply said, "There are NO absolutes." Implied meaning, "There is NO God." Scripture tells us to, "Stay away from those that call good evil and evil good." That is a difficult task, especially when our children are required to attend schools and receive an education by the state.Even the churches today will accept sinful behavior in favor of. Political Correctness.... (more)
