Whose Hands?

By Coach Phatty, published on Jun 5, 2014

...mighty sea. It depends whose hands it’s in.

A sling shot in my hands is a kid’s toy. A sling shot in David’s hand is a mighty weapon. It depends whose hands it’s in.

Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands is a couple of fish sandwiches. Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in God’ hands will feed thousands. It depends whose hands it’s in.

As you see now it depends whose hands it’s in. So put your concerns, your worries your fears, your hopes, your dreams, your families and your relationships in God’s hands because — It depends whose hands it’s in!

A Story of the Soldier and a Spider

By Coach Phatty, published on Jun 4, 2014

...build a web over the front of his cave. As he watched, listening to the enemy searching for him all the while, the spider layered strand after strand of web across the opening of the cave.

“Hah” he thought, “what I need is a brick wall and what the Lord has sent me is a spider web. God does have a sense of humor.”

As the enemy drew closer he watched from the darkness of his hideout and could see them searching one cave after another. As they came to his, he got ready to make his last stand. To his amazement, however, after glancing in the direction of his cave, they... (more)

Michael Jackson, hate, religion, Jesus, love and to care

By Shaun Gibson, published on Jun 2, 2014

...maybe on good grounds. But we are all learning real fast the Media in our world lies, in a local and world sense. We don’t get told it all and in many ways the political run media, or media with an agenda will lie, we all know this now. Lets say for a second Michael Jackson was sent to us from God, I know, big leap in your mind, but stay with me, there is cake at the end.

Michael Jackson spent a large % of his wealth on charities, had a hospital with Surgeons, Dr’s and nurses in his home looking after ill kids. He did a LOT the public were not told. We were told the 2 bad parts... (more)

The Rescue Mission

By Jedo Kingsman, published on Mar 19, 2014

...to rise. When the water was a foot or two deep, a local trucker pulled up the the large gray house and shouted to the man standing on the porch, "Hey, mister... jump in! I'm here to rescue you." With a glint of pride in his eye, the man said calmly, "I don't need you. I've lived a good life. God is going to rescue me." Off the trucker drove. The waters got higher than the first floor as the storm raged on. In the midst of the driving rain and rushing waters, a boat pulled up to the house and someone yelled, "Anyone in there? We are here to rescue you!" The man poked his head out of the... (more)

The Big Lie Nobody Challenges, and How to Have Eternal Life!

By Jedo Kingsman, published on Jan 12, 2014

...can commit all kinds of immoral acts and still get to heaven... that, no matter what sins they commit, they get a free pass (it is often taught that all of their sins will be cast 'as far as the east is from the west', leaving zero accountability) , so sin abounds unrestrained, and the name of God is disgraced. The problem is that millions of people that considered themselves Christians will stand before the throne of Judgment, and will be shocked and horrified to hear the words, "I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS'. I am sure you don't want to be among those... (more)

The Great Debate: No God or Know God?

By Coach Phatty, published on Dec 5, 2013

There has been a question that millions of people have asked down through the ages…is there a God? Or is there no God? Was the earth, living creatures, the planets, stars and universe created by God or did everything just evolve and come into existence by chance? I just read an interesting story on “Best Real Stories” that will give you “food for thought” regarding this great debate. I am not going to sit here and preach to you…after reading this story, you can decide.

Living the Life of a Worker Ant

By melanie jean juneau, published on Nov 7, 2013

...

When nature or the Spirit tries to break through to help me, I panic, feel threatened and run away, returning to labour in my little microcosm where I feel safe. ..My earnest striving is counter productive because it isolates me from larger realities that surround me.

Fortunately, God is better at communicating with me than I am at communicating with ants. He only needs a sliver of an opening in my heart, a quick glance in His direction or a fleeting thought to make a connection with me. In fact God became one with all of us, in a sense he became the equivalent of an ant, so... (more)

The Faith That Moved A Mountain

By Coach Phatty, published on Oct 8, 2013

Every once on a while, I come across a story that renews my faith and encourages my soul. The following short story is a great example that shows us that when we TRULY have faith in God, our faith will be rewarded in amazing ways!!

A small congregation in the foothills of the Great Smokies built a new sanctuary on a piece of land willed to them by a church member. Ten days before the new church was to open, the local building inspector informed the pastor that the parking lot was inadequate for the size of the building. Until the church doubled the size of the parking lot, they would... (more)

Letter to God

By Coach Phatty, published on Sep 28, 2013

Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died, my 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey.

She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could, so she dictated these words:

Dear God, Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick.

I hope you will play with her. She likes to play... (more)

Things That God Will NEVER Ask

By Coach Phatty, published on Sep 22, 2013

... we ask for nothing in particular, our prayers bring no results. Because we don’t believe that anything will come from our praying anyway, we ask for nothing in particular. Hence, we live our lives saying only superficial prayer. The time has come for us to stop playing at prayer.

1. God won’t ask what kind of fancy car you drove. He will ask how many people you took to church who didn’t have transportation.

2. God won’t ask the square footage of your house. He will ask how many people you helped who didn’t have a house.

3. God won’t ask how many fancy... (more)
