TALK ABOUT IT: Too fat to get married?

By BusinessLife, published on Mar 11, 2011

Dear "Talk About It,"

I need your help. I've been engaged for about two years now. I love my man very much. He's a hard worker and he is dependable and he makes me laugh as well as smile. He tells me he loves me all the time. But when we were talking just a few days ago about our upcoming wedding in the fall, he finally told me that he had come to a decision about us getting married. He said that I had been getting bigger and that I was acting like I didn't want to take care of myself. He has a good body. He works out sometimes but I think he just naturally keeps his weight where he... (more)

Talk About It - My teen wants to turn in plagiarized work

By BusinessLife, published on Mar 9, 2011

Talk About It,

Look, I'm at my wits end. What am I supposed to do? My 13-year-old has until Monday to turn in a two-page paper on bone diseases. He told me he was finished and I was so excited and was praising him. But then when I reviewed it, I noticed from doing a basic search that he lifted all of the copy from his online resource. I explained that plagiarism is wrong and it's stealing. I told him that some schools place students who plagiarise in detention or even suspend them. I told him how bright he was and that he could do anything he wanted. He told me that he was still going... (more)

Talk About It - Charlie Sheen's Next Goddess?

By BusinessLife, published on Mar 8, 2011

Dear Talk About It,

I found out from a friend of mine who does exotic dancing that Charlie Sheen is open to bringing in another goddess in his home! I'm so excited I don't know what to do. I have watched all of his shows and all of his recent interviews and think he is so hot! I really want to be with him but I'm having a hard time deciding how I can capture his attention. My girlfriend knows this guy who knows one of Charlie's former bodyguards who can help give him something from me. What should I do?

By BusinessLife, published on Mar 8, 2011

Okay, we have another question that takes us into the bedroom.

Let's Talk About It,

I am a sorta cute divorced woman. I'm 35 years old. I have a daughter and she's 9, but I want to get on with my life. I need to have some grown up time, too. So, this boyfriend I been with for a couple of weeks wants me to dress up in little girl's clothes and wear patent leather shoes when we are you know, together. What should I do? Do you think this is weird?

Dear Diary, Why Can't Men Be Men?

By BusinessLife, published on Mar 3, 2011

Dear Diary,

I think I know a lot more about what I want from a man than I have been willing to share. I guess it may have to do with the fact that having to ask a man to be a gentleman and a champion of my honor seems a bit sad. I grew up thinking that men were physically stronger and that part of their role in a long-term relationship (marriage) was to love and honor a woman.

I would love to be loved by:

The Audit of Broo: An Internal Dissection By Its Own Members

By BusinessLife, published on Feb 18, 2011

So, hoping to have some additional information from one of the owners of Broo, Tony Berkman I set this information aside for a few months. To be fair, a businessman's day can often be unending.

The questions that I sent his way were many and he mentioned that he looked forward to providing me with his feedback. I will consider this reply as Tony is planning to provide his feedback soon and I may even have some of the information by the time this article is posted.

So, enjoy the findings of a SWOT analysis on Broo and be sure to stick around for some even more insightful... (more)

The Countdown of 2010

By BusinessLife, published on Dec 31, 2010

New Year's Resolutions

Some people make new year's resolutions. I don't think I have met someone who has admitted to doing this. Me? I make a resolution of faith, but the traditional resolution to give up or limit chocolate, lose five pounds or read 25 books before the year or actually try to keep up with housework while both boys are in the home (9 & 12)...well, let's just say, it isn't going to happen, it wouldn't be prudent and I'm not gonna do it. I'm an adult now and I don't have to if I don't wanto to. So, Nah! Besides, I have other things I can count on to occupy my time,... (more)

The Value of Life (cont.)

By BusinessLife, published on Dec 23, 2010

Dara was with the social services agent for more than an hour. She sat in a plastic, orange chair in a tiny office. There was enough room for a small book shelf against the wall, a chair and desk and two chairs on the other side of the desk.

The agent's office door was open and Dara looked out the door and across the narrow hall at another woman with another agent. The other woman looked right at Dara. Apparently, she was as uncomfortable and bored as she was.

"How many children do you have," the agent asked Dara.

"I have two children...a girl and a boy," she answered.... (more)

The Value of Life

By BusinessLife, published on Dec 21, 2010

"Guess I won't be taking my lunch break anytime soon," the woman behind the desk said, loud enough for all in line to hear.

39 year-old Dara Mullerton, single mother of two, wished that were her only problem.

Having lunch or not depended on the balance in her bank account. And as of late, she did her best to keep a balance of $20 as often as she possibly could. For now, worrying about when to take a lunch hour during work would mean having a job.

"Help you," the woman mumbled.

Dara walked up to the desk and said, "I am here to find out about what financial assistance... (more)
