Professional Law Enforcement Vs. Joe Horn

By Credo, published on Dec 25, 2007

...Joe was in the right or whether it was just premeditated murder. However as you listen to these tapes let your mind imagine that these shoes (the circumstances) were on a different foot for a change and consider the effects of this case should a black man shoot two white men in this same fashion, would the outcome then be the same? I don’t know, you tell me. Is a bag of property worth more than life? And if so where does the law draw the line? Vigilante Joe: Hero or Villain? Just listen to the 911 tape of Joe Horn killing before, during and after killing two burglars in Texas ... (more)

Savoring the moments of the season

By Kim, published on Dec 6, 2007

A contemplative chat by the fireside of a cozy cafe at happy hour. A tree lighting in the neighborhood park. Taking a moment to view the manger scene in a store window as you rush back from lunch break. Whether or not you celebrate the "holidays" in a traditional fashion, love the song and shopping, boycott it all, or just ignore it, there are magical minutes that await each of us this time of year. As we forge ahead through a season that comes in with a furry and leaves all too quickly, I think it vital as well as comforting to take time to savor the moments of the season. Time shared with... (more)

By icanluvulongtime, published on Oct 16, 2007

...publications want covers, covers want to act. Actors on stage want a tv series, series women want movies and the 1/400th of 1 percent who get movies want to direct and be desired for more than their perfect body. Huh? It’s kind of like the stripper who works the pole until she can get tuition for school, or plastic surgery or enough money to get custody of her kid. The motivation changes but is... (more)
