Dear Facebook…

By DKIdea, published on May 12, 2014

...participate in every discussion as if something new were being discussed, instead of the exact same rant. I’ll just chalk it up to a shared chip on many shoulders and keep it moving.

I would like to discuss, however, those people that see Facebook as simply a free therapist or personal diary, that’s not so personal. For me it’s entertainment, for them I have to believe it’s therapy…with a bunch of people unqualified for the position of a therapist. In their defense though, sometimes an ear to listen is enough. I just don’t see social media in general, or Facebook in... (more)

My Ceiling is My Children's Floor

By melanie jean juneau, published on Nov 13, 2013

The only thing that could kill a mother of a large family is trying to pair all the socks.

Raising children is not a default chore for women who were not successful in the world of power and wealth.

The existence of a joyful mother of nine confounds most people.

Children help you forget what is not important.

Relax. If it is not broken yet, it probably should be.

Laughter turns each tragedy into a comedy of errors.

My kids helped me discover who I really am.

Babies are not idiots; relate to them like intelligent people, albeit little people,

Sorry to disturb you...

By Joey Flowers, published on Dec 31, 2011

There's something I would like to share that I usually don't with people. So please, hear me out. I am not a religious guy, or one to get on his knees and pray. More Lost than J.J. Abrams

By Joey Flowers, published on Dec 17, 2011

Just another day in paradise. Or is it paradise lost? Thought my life was okay, for the most part. Pretty average really. Could there have improvement? Of course. Who's life can't use improvement in certain areas? No one's life is really perfect. And certainly not mine.Like I stated before, I left home at a young age. Fifteen to be exact. Dropped out of high school and moved away. And why is that? Because I met HER. We will use the name HER to protect the not so innocent. I will admit, I'm still at a loss and am somewhat confused, but it could be just me being in denial. It would seem in all... (more)

The Light Within Is All The Same

By Joey Flowers, published on Dec 8, 2011

Not being a scholar of psychology, or knowing much about human behavior, or even really a writer for that matter, all I can go by is what I observe in this oh-so-crazy-world of ours. Actually, I'm just your average thirty-something year old that just tries to live his life, just like you do. But often times I do wonder what makes us tick.We all experience things in our lifetimes, both good, and bad. For me, the story is kind of long, but to make that long story short, I lost everything. My home, my wife, my kids, everything. It all started going downhill I would say around the spring time.... (more)
