The presence of a carnation flower anywhere signifies divinity. The literal meaning of ‘carnation flower’ is the ‘flower of love'. The legend of the carnation says that these beautiful flowers first grew on Earth from Mary’s tears after watching her Son, Jesus, carrying His cross through Jerusalem. Therefore, carnations are used in many ceremonies and any special occasions; this flower was pink in color.
