Don't Be A Donald Sterling

By Randy Mitchell, published on May 15, 2014

By now everyone has heard about the antics of billionaire Donald Sterling, whose racially-charged rants gained media coverage everywhere.

It’s a sad testimony to an obviously smart businessman (you have to be either very smart or extremely lucky to have that kind of wealth.)

You would think someone so talented in the art of making money would be just as sharp in his personal life, learning to play correctly within the affairs of society and piecing together an inner personal circle having his back and protecting his interests.

Isn’t it amazing what the right face can... (more)

Dear Facebook…

By DKIdea, published on May 12, 2014

Social media has changed the world. I can’t say if it’s been changed for better or worse as that depends on your personal experience with it. What I can say is that some of the stuff I’ve observed has given me pause to consider if people can generally be a bit more responsible when using it. Understand that this post is going to be purely opinion driven, but if people can use social media to vent…then I can use this blog to share my critique of their observed venting.

Now I’m not going to spend too much time talking about those folks that have turned Facebook into their own platform... (more)

By Randy Mitchell, published on Apr 9, 2014

It’s 2014 and guess what? The fact remains approximately one-half of all marriages still end in divorce.

That’s always a startling number and definitely causes many to evaluate their thinking when hiking and stumbling through the dating world.

However, what do you do if you meet someone you really believe is The One? The only catch or source for concern is they’ve been married before - several times.

Let me share with you some interesting statistics:

The divorce rates of people who have been married multiple times consistently rises as their number of marriages... (more)

Why Some People Choose to Remain Single

By Randy Mitchell, published on Mar 25, 2014

...what public opinion says is right or wrong, acceptable, stereotypical or wanted among the eyes of their family, friends, religion or ethnic group. Lots of them are some of the happiest people I know and wouldn’t trade their lives for anything.

Are Your Past Relationships Affecting Your Future Ones?

By Randy Mitchell, published on Jan 30, 2014

No matter if you’ve dated only a few women or many, there will always be that one placing a permanent imprint upon your mind.

Perhaps she’s “the one that got away” or she left battle scars along your chest that you’re still healing from. Or maybe, in your mind, you’re still trying to make it work despite her continued rejection.

There could also be repeated mutual attempts at long-lasting love that never seem to work out, keeping you from seeing other prospective partnerships because neither one of you can really let go.

Whichever is the case, and for whatever reason,... (more)

What's She Thinking?

By Randy Mitchell, published on Jan 7, 2014

If I were fully able to answer that question every time a man has sat and wondered, I’d be a multi-billionaire and herded through the streets as the greatest mind since Sir Isaac Newton.

It’s a topic men have spent their lifetimes trying to figure out. In the world of dating, this is something the male species should spend lots of time analyzing and evaluating in order to become successful.

To be able to read and accommodate your lady’s thought processes is the golden key to relationship longevity.

Women are extremely complex.

But they are vibrant and beautiful creatures.... (more)

Books and Movies. The School of Romance?

By Randy Mitchell, published on Dec 4, 2013

...

They crave the guy who dries their tears and holds them close during moments of crisis. They also need a man’s man, one who isn’t afraid to turn loose of his inner vulnerabilities.

I’m an author of inspirational romance, and through the years, I’d like to believe my dating experiences have given me a slight sense of knowledge when it comes to women. Relationships and romance are things I enjoy writing about.

Although realistically and honestly, I haven’t always been the man I should’ve been. I’ve made many mistakes and still do, but what I’ve... (more)

Nicolas Cage’s Wife Changed His Views of Hollywood

By Earn, published on Oct 28, 2013

At 49, Nicolas Cage has enjoyed a pretty successful career in Hollywood, both as an actor and a producer. But he’s now pointing a finger at the industry for discriminating against a certain breed of actors. And his accusations stem from none other than Cage’s young wife, 39-year-old Alice Kim.

Cage recently wrapped up his latest film, Outcast, for which most of the crew was Chinese. When doing an interview to promote the film, Cage slammed Hollywood for not offering viable lead roles for male actors of Asian descent. “I hope that we will see more Chinese actors in American... (more)

"In Love" and "In Like," Are Two Different Worlds

By Randy Mitchell, published on Oct 22, 2013

...who knows you best.” It always sounds good, appeals to many and makes lots of sense while choosing a mate or life partner. However, really liking a person versus being in love with them are too very different scenarios. And in my opinion, you should always marry the latter of the two.

Dating, and hanging out with someone you feel completely comfortable around, laugh often with, even enjoy sharing your most intimate secrets during those long walks in the park is something special to behold; almost rare in today’s fast-paced environment. Friends are great, true friends are very... (more)
