HUT AT THE EDGE OF THE CLIFF

By Uttam Gill, published on May 31, 2014

...twilight of the day I caught the breath taking sight of the hut at the edge of the cliff…I sensed the life exist at the edges too… I followed the distinctive trail, as if the trail waited for years to lead me to that hut… I reached there...Door was open with most welcoming gesture…The darkness around and the light from the hut indulges my mind to an effusive wonder of darkness and light… I understood the purpose of my journey to this hut...And I went back with darkness and light in my heart…I realized that the life is a part of such effusive wonders and we need to take light as... (more)

Evil, Cold, Darkness

By Coach Phatty, published on Jul 14, 2013

...transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460 F) is the total absence of heat; and all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat.”

The student continued, “Professor, does darkness exist?”

The professor responded, “Of course it does.”

The student replied, “Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact, we can use Newton’s prism to break... (more)

Wandering...

By Barbara MacDonald , published on May 1, 2013

Wandering in the miasma of fog

My conscience scanning

Inquisitive brilliance shining ...

What have I lost?

What is my soul crying for?

To no avail I hunger for the answers...

This universe of humans

Heavy on my mind

Neither a match for my soul...

I see the door within my sight

It does not open with the key I have

Until the time is in perfect harmony...

Healing Hands

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Apr 23, 2013

In the twilight of this eclipse

As if a perfect painting of

My resplendent contemplation...

A thunderous current of emotions

Dancing inside my quieted essence

The reign of silence and solitude...

Let me knell in veneration

Humbled by the breathe of Him

Who knows my heart...

In this womb of all that was

Meant to be my destiny

Gently touching these memories...

This moon soaked visage

Can not touch or reflect

Adorations of my life....

Held in free inspiration... (more)

Final LIGHT

By Rahul, published on Dec 6, 2012

...created a barrier between me and others, the one through which not even my parents could pass, the one which made me fall in love with loneliness. It felt like dark and cold inside, as if I am not needed in this world, as if I am dead. Four walls surrounded me, I can’t see beyond them, only darkness all around, they are closing in fast now; soon I won’t be able to move and there won’t be much air left for me to breath. All trapped in and counting, my heart beat which I could hear as clearly as a bass drum, counting and counting as it is slowing down, felt dizzy and will fall soon into ... (more)

Shadow

By D. Sager, published on Apr 2, 2012

...What is the light that I stand in? Where will this light strike me? This determines the length and breadth of my darkened friend. It is the light, unlike any other condition, that determines how far-reaching the effect of my shadow companion. I run from that light and find that I walk in darkness with every step. I face the light and find my path lit with comforting revelation.

Though it discourage at first, to see my faults and missteps in the glaring brightness, I find comfort that at least I am dealing with reality. This reality is harsh, always, but it provides facts that... (more)

There is still goodness in this worldthat even a river of tears cannever wash away. That the armies of adversity canNever destroy unlesswe choose to let them.On soft days that beauty shines so clearlyembrace them and be gratefulit is on the days of darknessthat we find out what we are made of.Do we lay down and surrender to despairor rise to find within us a new sparkof strength that is buried in the essenceof God's grace.Go within yourself and findthat speck of goodnessthat seed of righteousnessblossoming from purityand peace of knowingyour own... (more)

Brokenness - No Pain, No Gain

By D. Sager, published on Jan 18, 2012

... create out of this mess, a beauty of strength and wonder. For brokenness to help me, for it to begin surprising and wondrous changes, I must take the mess to the Creator. He forms the grandeur of the universe from chaotic clutter; He will now bring the awesome galaxies of restoration to the darkness of my broken soul. Yield to Him, pray to Him, then I can know a miracle of resurrection. This is when I find the real beauty of brokenness, that I can be an understanding and compassionate companion to the many that lay in ruins. I can be the triage they need. Brokenness, it allows me a chance ... (more)
