...The biscuit softens from the center and the outer chocolate coating begins to melt. Basically, the inside of the biscuit will collapse while the outside should (hopefully) remain intact, just long enough for the beverage to reach inside your mouth.

The Tim Tam was the creation of Mr. Ian Norris, who then worked as food technology director of Arnott’s Biscuits, the cookies manufacturer. But they can now be purchased in the United Stated. “Tim Tam, Classic White” was introduced through Pepperidge Farm and is selling in Target stores.

Christmas Currency: Cookies

...distant lands of Portland/Vancouver and all the holiday hubbub. While it was a wonderful time away on many fronts, being back here at home is sort of a relief--especially in regards to sweets. Never Too Old

One of my favorite Christmas traditions is making giant gingerbread Christmas cookies with the kids. Even though my boys are no longer kids, they still love making these cookies and of course eating them. It's something that we do together on Christmas Eve and they always look forward to it every year. The house smells absolutely yummy and the cookies are really wonderful on a chilly Christmas Eve night. Here's the recipe, if you want to try it out yourself:

Sugar Cookie Memories of Grandma

...curtains dapples the chrome-edged kitchen table. A flour coated hand pushes back wisps of gray hair from a wrinkled forehead. The worn oilcloth floor crackles under foot.
