Doreen Virtue: Angel Therapy or a Fraud's Mental Illness?

By Savattra, published on Apr 1, 2007

...Virtue has taken a revisionist approach from what one can tell and has revised this ancient role by telling people that the angels are our errand-boys just like the Greek pagan myth of Mercury and his winged feet! Everyone is entitled to their beliefs. The Crusades were a dark example in Christianity when faith was out of hand and people killed in the name of God. There have been evil Popes in history. The Vatican stood-by during WWII and did not protect the Jews from the Nazis, even though Jesus was a Jew.

One must of course always consider the source. It is not uncommon for... (more)

On Kenneth's Anger: The AsianWeek Blunder

By The Dez, published on Mar 1, 2007

... Blacks are easy to coerce. This is proven by the fact that so many of them, including Reverend Al Sharpton, tend to be Christians. Yet, at the same time, they spend much of their time whining about how much they hate "the whites that oppressed them." Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Christianity the religion that the whites forced upon them? # Blacks don't get it. I know it's a blunt and crass comment, but it's true. When I was in high school, I recall a class debate in which one half of the class was chosen to defend black slavery and the other half was chosen to defend... (more)

In God We Trust

By Stephanie Michele, published on Dec 3, 2006

...poetic beauty of this document was lost in controversy amongst the Catholic Church. Why? Because it screams to all of them that they are missing the point, that their faith should be grounded in love over everything else. The Catholic Church is layered in governing doctrines that contradict Christianity as a whole. Considering it is the largest assembly of the Christian faith, it is no wonder why so many people are either against or are not interested in the teachings of Christianity. Personally, I believe the world would benefit tremendously if the entire Roman Catholic Church was... (more)

Liberal and Christian... Whaaaa?

By Thomas T., published on Oct 20, 2006

...- A deep, abiding concern for America's image and role in the world as a bastion of true freedom, opportunity and democracy, and not as a protection racket for the wealthiest corporations. If all of that is being liberal, then we all should be liberal. And proud of it. So what about Christianity? I have a simple definition for it; one defintion bearing three criteria, by which any one of any faith can identify any other individual as a person of this great faith. A Christian is one who believes that 1) Jesus Christ was a man born of flesh, and yet was the incarnation of the one... (more)
