Raise Our Taxes! Wait. What?

By Reza B, published on Mar 1, 2010

...worth? Better yet, how much is Dubai worth? (Not as much as it used to be worth, but still, the Burj Khalifa is pretty pimp in a “hey look at my new gold teeth” kind of way). Even better than that, how much are the Tiger and the Dragon worth? That’s right, I’m talking about India and China—two Billion with a capital “B” and silent “schwa,” people sitting on some of the most rich and diverse natural resource reserves in the world. Here is my plan in all its simplistic yet sophisticatedly rich detail.

Step One: We quickly pull out of Iraq telling the Iraqis that we ... (more)

U.S. Economy Easily Held Hostage By China

By Craig B, published on Dec 21, 2009

...Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson in February 2007. She warned that the high level of foreign debt obligations the U.S. had and was incurring were a “source of great vulnerability. That the U.S. economy “can easily be held hostage to the economic decisions being made in Beijing, Shanghai, China and Tokyo, Japan.”So also for Seoul, South Korea as on February 22, 2005, the U.S. got a bad taste of South Korea’s burgeoning power. The U.S. trade deficit and debt relative to gross domestic product increasingly grew and the response of the market was swift and brutal. The dollar fell... (more)

Friends Don't Let Friends Vote Republican

By Craig B, published on Dec 11, 2009

... H.W. Bush made war on him, a good guy when Richard Cheney did business with him, and a bad guy when George W. Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden, he’s our financial partner" diversion.3. Republicans believe trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is Communist, but trade with Communist China and Communist Viet Nam is vital to a spirit of international harmony and profit.4. Republicans believe the United States should get out of the United Nations, but the United States’ highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.5. China mine blast: At least 42 killed and 66 trapped

By Mritunjay, published on Nov 21, 2009

...falling debris of the buildings left some of the escaping survivors unconscious.

The Chinese Vice Premier, Zhang Dejiang who reached the accident site, met the injured, while Chinese President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao have personally issued instructions about the rescue work. China has recently and historically, been witness to some of the world's deadliest mining industry disasters.

US Tries to Pacify India Over Chinese Role in Asia

By Mritunjay, published on Nov 19, 2009

President Obama on his visit to Asia has been a trend-changer on many accounts. In a zeal to “strengthen” tied with China, US seems to have stepped in the wrong alley. After US-China released a joint press statement making reference to Indo-Pakistani relations and sending message that U.S. is fine with the idea of a third party intervention in the talks between the two nations (India-Pakistan); officials of U.S. embassy in India, State and Foreign Department are now on an explanation spree.

India on Wednesday reacted sharply to the joint statement. India has always been very critical... (more)

China says yes to free markets, no to free currency regime

By Mritunjay, published on Nov 17, 2009

President Barack Obama on his tour to China has approached a very cautious approach. While raising issues of contention between the two nations, he has been subtle in his own right. He agreed to the importance of a stronger China while in a way also asking China to share the burden of being a regional leader.

President Obama today urged Chinese President, Hu Jintao to allow his nation’s currency, Yuan to rise in value following strains over trade between the two economic giants.

Mr. Obama while speaking after a summit in Beijing, made the U.S. expectations public. While voicing... (more)

CHCHA President, Pastor “Bike” has issued his 4th OPEN Letter to President Hu Jintao in China according to reports issued by the international aid and relief organization China Aid (www.chinaaid.org). A Christian Analysis Of Atheism, Part 2

By FMeekins, published on Aug 17, 2009

...to the very borders of hell.Unfettered by eternal external standards, those holding the reins of power in such societies had nothing to hamper the implementation of their most extreme policy whims, not even the value of innocent human lives. For example, Mao Zedong of the People's Republic of China slaughtered five million of his own countrymen in pursuit of his Cultural Revolution and related kinds of Communist nonsense. While the United States has not yet eliminated that many (at least among those fortunate enough to escape the womb alive), the Orwellian day is here when good will be... (more)

Dalai Lama Renaissance

By wolviela, published on Aug 4, 2009

...this project and to my surprise I not only learned something new, I became deeply happy for the director because I believe he may be doing something that many celebrities such as Richard Gere and Sharon Stone have be unable to do. I also learned that Taiwan, which is governed by the Republic of China, was able to watch the documentary entitled Dalai Lama Renaissance which is narrated by Harrison Ford. Not only did the people of Taiwanwatch it, but they gave it extremely positive reviews which of course raised red flags on the Mainland of China and the Communist government. In their... (more)

However, should such a perspective continue to expand, what makes these tactics any more moral than those employed in Communist China were access to certain viewpoints is blocked in the name of the good of the social order?More importantly, how long will it be until not only access to websites questioning the government disappear but people as well? Certainly an awful lot of trouble to go to if our exalter Caliph has nothing... (more)
