Personality Traits of Those Who Cheat

By Randy Mitchell, published on Sep 9, 2013

...each of you will say the right words and place the upmost importance on carrying things to the next level. And it's great when dating is firing on all cylinders and the future looks bright, but unfortunately for so many when things start getting comfortable is when one whose open to cheating will do so when you least expect it.

I've come up with some items to look for once everyday behavior begins taking the place of initial excitement--the period when the passion that once ignited bonfires now begins lighting campfires and things have settled down:

Sexting, Cheating, and Relationship Contracts

By Ely North, published on Dec 9, 2012

...In fact, I was so turned on that I started sending him naked pictures of myself in return. Now we’re sexting and trading nude pics several times a day. I haven’t told my boyfriend about it because I don’t know how he’ll react. I kind of feel guilty, but I don’t know – am I cheating?

Sincerely,

Anita Cheater

Dear Anita Cheater,

By definition, a cheater is someone who breaks the rules. So what are the rules of your relationship? If you haven’t set a rule that says “No sexting with your ex,” then you’re not cheating.... (more)

11 Things I Wish My Daughter To Know

By D. Sager, published on Dec 15, 2011

1) Hold your head high, you are beautiful, every day, all the time. When a man asks you to change your appearance to be acceptable to him, walk away and be yourself. Develop your character inside. Beauty is deeper than an outward appearance.

2) Respect yourself. In all you do and say, be a woman of class and honor. You will not get respect until you respect yourself.

3) Follow your dreams, never let a relationship, whether it be friendship, or love, rob you of what you dream.

4) Be independent, make sure of your own finances, health, and career. Always have... (more)

Treading Through Troubled Waters

By Randy Mitchell, published on Nov 10, 2011

Freedom of speech is one of our most protected rights as American citizens. However, it pains me to see how mere accusations can ruin another persons reputation, either professionally or personally, destroying a lifetime of work and effort in the blink of an eye. If the recent charges against Herman Cain are proven true, then he should suffer the consequences. If not, it will go down as one of the worst character assassinations in recent memory. Unfortunately, much damage has already been done regardless of the outcome, and many good people will be paying the price.

In our ultra-techno... (more)

Uncovering Foreign Affairs & their Aftermath

By Maylin Gonzalez, published on Sep 29, 2011

To many, Foreign Affairs mean a global stance on politics or even war, perhaps even the american magazine. To others, like myself, is a way of viewing affairs in a different, rather more common way: Cheating. This subject is more taboo than, let us say: Female Genital Mutilation (for those of you who don't know what that is; i welcome you to Wikipedia!) Anyways, the ultimate expectation is mutual monogamy, meaning 'not fucking around with others while fucking me'. Simple to many and so very hard for others... tisk tisk tisk. You can call it anything you want; foreign affair, cheating, fling,... (more)

A Life of Pain?

By Shari G, published on Sep 10, 2011

Dear Shari...

I met an amazing person about 5 years ago. I cannot believe how lucky that I have been, but since last November we fell in love with each other. Since then we have had a truly wonderful time, I have never known such a person as her, she is sooo different from anyone that I have ever known and I am sure that I will never meet another person like her, nor do I want to. The issue: she is married. I can see why she was subconsciously looking for a new love, as he isn't a good person for her. I can also see how much she has changed in the past 9 months, she is much... (more)

Falling in Love in Only 5,475 Days

By Shari G, published on Aug 10, 2011

...Thanksgiving and all I could think about was how many days were left before Christmas vacation when I’d be back home to see my new fiancé. Well, all up until 5am one morning when I awoke from an awful dream. I sat up in my bed, called my mother and told my mom, “I think (insert name) is cheating on me.” Now, if you knew (insert name) and I, you would know that he would’ve never been the one cheating. Everyone, including me, thought that this man would’ve done anything for me and straying would be the last thing I or anyone else would’ve ever considered. So much so that when... (more)

RESILIENT CATALYST

By Lumiere, published on Jun 10, 2011

Four years and eleven months,Infidelity came wrapped with a worn out ribbon

Infidelity came wrapped with a broken bow

Infidelity came wrapped with torn paper like the one you ripped in my soul

The only one who told the truth was the man paid for hire," I don't know how to tell you this but at four years and eleven months, your partner is a cheater, and a liar. On the internet, in person too. I'm sorry, your lover was being unfaithful to you.'

One month shy of our five year anniversary,

Tears fell like raining fire,

burning away edges of dreams built... (more)

Carried Away

By mantra lotus, published on May 27, 2011

Across my side it stretched. Down to my hip. The bandage wasn’t large enough.. So, I covered it with paper towels and tape..

Pink oozed from the sides. No time to worry.. I threw on my tank top, and black sweat shirt. Zipped and pulled the hood to cover my hair.. flung open the bathroom door.. and on the sofa I returned.

“I wanted to tell you.. but I didn’t know how..” I know your angry and should be, I promise it won’t happen again..”

I listened too intently that my side ached extensively.. My hard lips burned. My elbows itched. My pants hurt between my legs.
