It would be fair to say that the above suggestions have grown a little old over time and the romantics out there like to spread their wings and get their hands on something a little out of the ordinary. With that, we present the star - that's right, one of those glistening objects we see in the sky every night.
This is something which is catching more and more attention and rather than the generic gift, it actually holds some meaning. Common occasions include the ones we mentioned above, as well as anything from Mother's Day, to anniversaries or even a remembrance gift. It sounds a bit... (more)
I’ve heard that the world is supposed to end on December 21, 2012. This is the most horrible news I’ve ever heard! My 21st birthday will be on December 22nd. If the world ends, I’ll totally miss out on the biggest birthday party of my life! Think about the scope of this tragedy. I could die without ever knowing the joys of getting shitfaced in a bar, doing shots from a hot bartender’s navel, dancing with drunken fat chicks, and vomiting in a filthy toilet stall. It’s not fair! If the world ends on the 21st, I’d have to consider myself the unluckiest person in the... (more)
...rolls I've ever tasted, hands down. I'm actually starting to drool as I think of them... Moooom, I think I know what I want for dinner this year!

People are nice to you and show you love all day long, every where you go. Granted, of course, that they know it's your birthday, but I've found that wearing an "it's my birthday" t-shirt and/or hat helps them to clue-in quicker.

Today is my birthday. Another year gone. Time flies by. Hard to believe another year has passed me by. Getting older is both good and bad. I think as I get older I am just glad to be here. Over time, you come to accept things you cannot change and if you are smart learn to live without regret. There are things you learn from and move on. The past is experience not something you never let go of. Regret is something I am unfamiliar with. To regret means that parts of yourself especially ones soul still lives in the past and doing so is not moving forward. As you get older, you find... (more)
I first met my good friends Jim and Morgan Olson in July 1996. In April 1997 Jim Olson introduced us to his wife’s annual birthday present, Morgan’s Birthday Dance. Each of their Fountainheads had a large dance floor with mirrors, high ceilings, was sound-balanced, and had disco and mood lights so it was held there or occasionally at a larger floor although the attendance was till kept small. Twenty-four people max at Fountainhead or thirty if elsewhere. Jim and Morgan also had the hipist music selection. Selection, not collection, Jim Olson pointed out. Whether it was jazz, classical or here,... (more)
I hope this gets published before midnight because today, July 31, is my birthday. And it's not just any birthday, I'm now officially the same age as Jack Benny --- again. It's my second year of being 39. Okay, enough with the bull, I'm forty. Whoo hoo...
I was born in what has been called the most tumultous year America has known: 1968. In that year, America faced: the Tet Offensive, Richard Nixon, Lyndon Johnson's adamat refusal to stand for re-election, the assassinations of Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr., The Beatles self-titled album The Beatles more commonly... (more)
