Up Or Down Vote

By HurricaneDean, published on Aug 30, 2009

...May, 5, 2005, "I have sought to address Democrats' grievances while holding true to the core principle of an up-or-down vote. So far, my Democrat colleagues have rejected all efforts at compromise, and continue to insist on a new, 60-vote standard. Such a position is unacceptable. President Bill Clinton's nominees required only 51 votes to be confirmed. Why should George W. Bush be treated differently? Until this president took office, Democrats and Republicans alike were firmly opposed to all filibusters, and said so repeatedly. We had a tradition based on mutual respect and restraint. It... (more)

Early Marriage High Horse, Healthcare Informants, & Not About Philosophy

By FMeekins, published on Aug 10, 2009

... At least the policeman is permitted to carry a gun and pepper spray. At her press conference, she should have made it clear that this would be the last time she ever lifts a finger for anyone in her COMMUNITY.

North Korea has executed a mother of three for distributing Bibles. Perhaps Bill Clinton should have made a bigger fuss over this incident than the imprisoned journalists who did, it must be remembered, violated the borders of a sovereign nation. Multiculturalists often point out how much America has to learn from non-Western cultures. Perhaps we should start by emulating North... (more)

Drugs Are Nothing New To The Whitehouse.

By Christopher Wager, published on May 11, 2009

Drugs are nothing new to the whitehouse from the days of the royal family of Kennedy today. In fairness, all the attention Bill Clinton receives over “not inhaling “ seems to be out of proportion to that of the standing president. In a Foxnews piece, Obama confessed using drugs at least one time in his life. Bush also admitted to a drinking problem, and many occasions preached about the evils of drinking. It would seem the media once again is picking and choosing its battles on what they find acceptable and what they do not. Could it be that Obama’s influence over... (more)

Carrying On The Antiwar Banner

By Morgana, published on Mar 29, 2009

...get along the best they can on their own.” 84 percent favored “protecting jobs of American workers.” 51 percent wanted “reducing illegal immigration.” November 2006, U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich, an also then adultery while loudly publicly vilifying Bill Clinton’s adultery, called for replacing the American Bill of Rights with “a different set of rules.” Americas favor politics that are decentralist, local and loyal to family, home and neighborhood first. Friendship must always trump politics as there is nothing noble in widows and ... (more)

Don't Blame The Liberals

By HurricaneDean, published on Mar 12, 2009

...consumers to have their own round soon? He allowed that such an expectation was not unreasonable and that he was willing to meet with some seasoned consumer advocates and go over such an agenda. We sent him an agenda, and met with Mr. Summers and his staff. Unfortunately, neither his boss, Bill Clinton, nor the Congress were in any mood to revisit this heavily lobbied federal deregulation law and reconsider the blocked consumer rights. The rest is unfolding, tragic history. The law abolished the Glass-Steagall Act which separated commercial banking from investment banking. This opened the... (more)

By john robertson, published on Jan 14, 2009

...hired Kenneth Starr to be their gun. The goal: to break down the President's reputation and clout by finding him guilty of all sorts of atrocities; White Water, murder, sexual harrassment... pull it out of your butt, throw it at the wall, and whatever sticks, groovy! The end result? Bill Clinton likes oral sex. Yes, my fellow Americans, after three and a half years of grueling investigations and millions of tax payer dollars, Kenneth Starr produced a novel about the president's penis size, his penis width, the shape of his penis, his favorite erotic poems, his taste in unclassically ... (more)

A Life In The Shadows

By Julian Gallo, published on Nov 2, 2008

...each person is an individual and doesn’t necessarily conform to any specific generational idea but we must do so for the purpose of this article. For a long time we have been hearing about the Baby Boom generation and I think it reached it’s peak at the time of the election of Bill Clinton. When Clinton was elected, it was the first time a member of the Baby Boom generation had held the highest office in the land. After growing up in one of the most tumultuous times in American history, one of them finally reached the pinnacle of power. The Baby Boom generation had finally... (more)

Corporationism Rules Or The Dog Gets It

By Morgana, published on Nov 1, 2008

...Great Depression? Nevada’s then other U.S. Senator, Richard Bryon, voted both times against the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. Bryon knew and said there was to be little if any regulation if GLB passed. Truly a bi-partisan bill, the senate passed GLB 90-8 on November 12, 1999, then President Bill Clinton (D) quickly signed the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act into to law. Corporationism had arrived in America. President Clinton still today righteously defends GLB. Under the now perfectly legal corporationism, between 1999 and 2005, the corporate heads and politicians transferred colossal wealth to... (more)

A Country Hijacked

By Morgana, published on Oct 8, 2008

...and waves of tax reform from 1982 through 1993 were enacted in response. Deregulation also had to be undone after the 1980”s S & L Crisis. For which U.S. Senator John McCain was later implicated in and then censured by the U.S. Congress for.

In 1993, American President Bill Clinton asked in frustration, are the world and country actually run by the “fucking bond market?” The answer is yes. The bond market is the market for corporate and government debt. Debt is the flip of credit. Debt and credit are what economies operate with. Finance and government are... (more)
