Our crack team of investigative reporters stands ready and willing to mash the keys of their computers churning out exposés that rival the fair and balanced news reporting of such established news media as The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and The San Francisco Chronicle. All fine print newspapers in their own right, but rivaled in the on-line arena where most of America obtains its news.

The Atlanta Braves have four future HOFer’s on their team (Chipper Jones, Tom Glavine and John Smoltz) if you also include Skipper Bobby Cox. It’s hard to believe that they won only one World Series after taking all those division titles. One of the problems is that Glavine is 42 and Smoltz is ... (more)

I wisdom vs Glenn T
I know what you’re thinking: how can I possibly be objective about myself? And to that I say: who say’s I’m being objective? I wisdom, the flagship for Broo Atlanta, and a charming new writer… and then there’s me – an emotional maelstrom who periodically turns out something only marginally less readable than the brilliant top authors who regularly troll the pages here. It’s peace and love versus Haddaway’s “What is... (more)
... the street. I mean, we did get caught in the very very heavy rain, some high winds, zero visibility, but no tornado activity. Now we were in the area that a tornado, Hurricane, sever storm would love, fester and easily grow, but it did not hit the place like it hit in the heart of downtown Atlanta. Actually, the title here was my submission for a new Atlanta slogan apparently to replace an ages-old one about the city being too busy to hate. But they changed that a couple of years ago to one I thought was really good cause it made me think of my beloved Atlanta Braves. The slogan was to be a part of a new branding of Atlanta that included a "Coca Cola" red and white design. Oh yea, the slogan was Atlanta: Where Everyday Is Opening Day. The city is not really known as a baseball town, but if you're a sports fan that lives here, you know that the Braves are really the only major league team... (more)
The Atlanta Falcons have been hit with many scandals as of late and it has made me a fan of the team and their new unscripted reality TV drama. Besides the Michael Vick storyline and the usual hoodlum behavior of the team members, which I find greatly clichéd and trite, their ex-coach, Mr. Petrino, snuck out of town like a thief in the night leaving a “Dear John†letter in the team’s locker room. Shocked and dismayed the jilted team members replaced his signature with “coward†before going out to denounce their former coach and mentor as a lying scoundrel. Apparently, Petrino had... (more)
... follow my writing, you may have read a story that I wrote entitled Zenobia’s Life Lessons A True Testament of Love. In that narrative, I briefly tapped on the fact that I once lived in a shelter. How I ended up in a shelter in the first place was because my job downsized and relocated to Atlanta. My employer offered me the chance to keep my job by moving with the company, but unfortunately, they only offered financial relocation assistance to the higher ups. So there I was. Two young children to support and the future for employment looked grim. I applied for unemployment and... (more)
