A Call To Action, By Lee Iacocca

By Lumiere, published on Oct 1, 2009

...we've got corporate gangsters stealing us blind, and we can't even clean up after a hurricane much less build a hybrid car. But instead of getting mad, everyone sits around and nods their heads when the politicians say, 'Stay the course...'Stay the course? You've got to be kidding. This is America , not the damned, 'Titanic'. I'll give you a sound bite: 'Throw all the bums out!' You might think I'm getting senile, that I've gone off my rocker, and maybe I have. But someone has to speak up. I hardly recognize this country anymore..The most famous business leaders are not the innovators... (more)

Commentary On Ratings

By D. E. Carson, published on Jul 28, 2009

The article in question is here.

So what are you trying to say with your rating?  You didn't like my article?  Why?  Because of who wrote it?  Because it dared to take a look at racism in America?  Because it laid the responsibility at the feet of those who deserved it?  Maybe it was slightly biased in favor of the police report, but in light of events that have transpired since then, perhaps this is a case where the police were telling the truth?  I mean, even Obama admitted he made a mistake there (even though he stopped short of actually apologizing for it).

No, I think the... (more)

Suspension Over Prom

By D. E. Carson, published on May 13, 2009

...for your actions and face the consequences of actions that violate rules.”  The lesson the step-father is teaching here is, “if you disagree with something in a contract, violate that contract and then sue the hell out of the other party to get your way in the end.”

Is this America?

Somebody needs to take that step-father aside and slap the snot out of him.  Frost knew what he was doing violated the school’s policy and he willingly accepted the consequences.  But the step-father is having none of it.  The step-father is essentially saying that even though... (more)

What Price Security?

By D. E. Carson, published on Jan 23, 2009

...intelligence reports that 18 of the already released enemy combatants from Guantanamo have returned to their terrorist roots.  It took 19 terrorists to carry out the 9/11 attacks in the first place.  Adding the 200+ to those already released 18 could effect some serious carnage upon America – something I’d rather not think about.

President Obama – two words that cause me to spit every time I have to say them – and the rest of the liberal left are still partying like it is September 10, 2001.  Liberals have never come to grips with the idea that we were really... (more)

The Great American Work Farce

By baynurse, published on Jan 16, 2009

The Great American Work FarceMcCain spoke of the great American worker’s ethics.     I have seen this work force in action as have some of you.  I went to court the other day and  had to pass an electronic metal detector much like the ones at the airport, when the officer in charge of security who was supposed to observe people entering , was engrossed in text messaging.  She did not even notice me or look up to see me passing through the detector, I beeped, she had me run through again after removing my keys from my pocket, and did not even look at me the second time, again still in her mid... (more)

Senate Appointee Burris Rejected

By D. E. Carson, published on Jan 6, 2009

... to implement socialism within the United States. Having PEBO in the White House and like-minded senators and representatives sitting just up Constitution Avenue on Capitol Hill would certainly make it a lot easier to band together and usurp the authority of the people and implement socialism in America. Perhaps Roland Burris was a Democrat who had no intention of playing ball with the rest of the Senate Democrats. Perhaps Burris is a moderate who doesn’t believe in socialism and would be a thorn in the side of Senate Democrats who want to make America a socialist nation. Maybe Burris... (more)

Behold The New Amerika

By D. E. Carson, published on Nov 4, 2008

...looking like Amerika is about go the way of the dodo bird.

On the day the Constitutional congress concluded, Benjamin Franklin was asked, "What kind of government have you given us, Dr. Franklin?" His response was, "A republic, madam, if you can keep it."

Today, the republic of America has been given away. Should Democrats secure more seats in the House and Senate, it will be the first time since 1977 that liberals have enjoyed a "super majority" in Washington. And it will be the end of America as the nation of opportunity.

Good bye United States of America. Hello, ... (more)
