I’m no expert...but I’d like to give a voice to the millions of people suffering and dying from cancer. I’m no expert, but I’m very familiar with cancer as it has taken away my mother, my aunt (her sister), many cousins and threatens to do even more. Cancer being what it is isn’t the issue I want to give voice to...but cancer being what it’s not: eradicated.

To be logically fair, there are so many types of cancer effecting so many different people that it may never be fully eradicated...but I’m a firm believer that more can be done to combat it and that the key to more successful treatments... (more)

Health for Profit

By DKIdea, published on Nov 11, 2012

Unlearn Your Pain With Author Dr. Howard Schubiner

By Yvonne Wu, published on Jan 12, 2011

Unlearn Your Pain began with a single patient who was referred to me about 8 years ago. This woman had severe pain in her back and hip. Despite two surgeries, pain medications, injections, and physical therapy, she continued to have pain and walked with a cane. She contacted me after reading a book by Dr. John Sarno entitled The Mindbody Prescription. This book gave her a completely new and different view of her pain and after reading it and applying its principles, she began to feel better. Her pain resolved within a matter of weeks.

Her story led me on a path of seeking to understand... (more)

The Roy E. and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center

By wolviela, published on Feb 5, 2010

Perhaps you've seen it, driving on the California interstate 134, or buses. The advertisement reads "Triumph over Cancer."

That is the theme of the Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, as it sets to open it's doors of it newest building, The Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center on February 8, 2010.

The Center is dedicated to healing the body, the mind and the spirit. This has been years in the making. This was a dream of several doctors to have a one stop treatment center for cancer patients and their families. The $36 million, four-story outpatient Center will be home... (more)
