When I was a little girl we didn't have cable television. "Our television was a piece of furniture unto itself." It sat in the living room; a large plant stand from which Little House on the Prairie blared religiously on Monday evenings.

Life before the U.S Military Operations in Iraq

There were no sanctions against Iraq by the United States prior to the Desert Storm mission. In fact America and Iraq maintained a cooperative business like foreign policy as America gave and sold weapons of mass destruction to Saddam Hussein during his country's crisis with neighboring countries.

During that time Saddam Hussein was a valid asset and stood among many of the cooperative allies of the American government and he was supportive of the business establishments, he also had many welcomed visits from Donald Rumsfelt and purchased many weapons from the government via Mr. Rumsfelt.

Decades Too Late but 1984 is Still in Our Future

It's 26 years after the fictional worldwide nightmare scenario in the novel “1984” and one key question remains: Did it depict a right-wing or left-wing tyranny? This is important to know because as we appear to be creeping towards such a future we should prepare our kids and their kids for this brave new world...a possible world politicians never mention.
