Muslim Soldier Faces Justice in New York Court Room

By JJFCPA, published on Jun 22, 2010

In a New York court room Monday, a Pakistani-born U.S. citizen, the “Times Square Bomber” pleaded guilty to a 10 count indictment that included a charge to use a weapon of mass destruction. Usually, there is a feeling of relief when someone who is guilty confesses to their criminal actions. This case however, left many with a shiver up the back. By Jeff Weisinger, published on Jan 21, 2008

...Tynes missed field goal with four-seconds left in regulation, all thoughts about the Giants beating Green Bay in Lambeau field were very close to dashed.

But yet, against all odds, Tynes fifth field goal attempt would be the one that would send an unprobable Eli Manning and the New York Giants to Arizona and Super Bowl XLII.

"We haven't been given a shot, but we're here and I think we're deserving of it," Manning said. "Right now I'm excited as I can be."

Eli Manning continued his mistake-free streak as he went 21 for 40 with 254 yards passing, including ... (more)

The Heart Of Africa In The Heart Of New York City

By TheTruth, published on Mar 30, 2008

...in the Joyce Theatre that night, as these 22 members who have lost so much are still able to look toward a brighter day as they bring smiles and cheer from people all across America as their share their talents and their continued success.

The soulful singing, vibrant dance moves and powerful music all came together to create a spectacular performance unprecedented by anything else I have ever seen. Although the show has already left New York, I know hundreds of more concert-goers throughout the country will enjoy this unique contemporary work of art as much as I have.

...left the club, they were approached by undercover police officers and following a hail of gunfire, Bell was dead and his two friends were wounded.

It took barely more than 10 minutes for Queens Supreme Court Justice Arthur Cooperman to read his verdict, published in full by The New York Post. Hear Ye, Hear Ye Beavers Have Returned to New York City!

By Lainie, published on Feb 25, 2007

After a 200 year absence, it was reported this week that beavers, which grace New York City’s official seal, have returned to the Big Apple. More precisely, a beaver was videotaped swimming up the Bronx River this past Wednesday. “It had to happen because beaver populations are expanding and their habitats are shrinking, said Dietland Muller-Schawarze, a beaver expert from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry. “We’re probably going to be seeing more beavers in the future.” Beavers held a prominent place in the city’s early days when fur... (more)
