Watch Out! Hollywood I am Coming

By Uttam Gill, published on May 15, 2012

... no inhibitions to claim that certainly, I wish to be an exhibitionist and perfectionist of dreams.

I am at the age, when many may not tread to venture out in highly disappointing arena, where failure rate is alarmingly very high. I wish to leap into the most happening place and that is Hollywood. Not with sense of bravado but as an aspiring claimant to be a Hollywood Star and also with a sense, to be what I am and what I should be.

I am under the spell and that is, to be or not to be. I say to myself, YES TO BE…Now you can read my mind. Tell me one thing; if suppose,... (more)

Working Class Hero or Hollywood Stooge?

By Dan Ehrlich, published on Aug 13, 2010

... Slater didn't do anything heroic or even laudable. He was a man in charge of passenger safety and he deserted his post on an operational airliner. But, as with the hordes of people applauding his action, I have to admit it initially impressed me for being so off the wall. And it also impressed Hollywood to such an extent Slater has been a lead item in Entertainment Tonight and Extra. To top this off, there's already talk of a movie about this guy.Is this merely part of decadence that great nations endure on the way down...a moronic mentality and appreciation for the absurd and banal?The... (more)

Wilmington NC To Be The Next Hollywood?

By SanityCheck2, published on Nov 30, 2009

Well, the news here in North Carolina is that Wilmington is about to be the next Hollywood, only with state liquor stores, tens of thousands of devout Baptists and a series of social institutions right out of the middle ages. There is a language barrier as most folks in Wilmington speak Southern and only use English as a second Language.

There no doubt are some advantages to being on the opposite end of Interstate 40 but frankly, it doesn’t appear the powers that be in La La land have given this enough serious thought. To be polite, the benefits of filming in Wilmington, N.C. simply... (more)

Hungry Hollywood

By V, published on Feb 7, 2008

...only to return 2 bra cup sizes larger, or a handful of inches smaller around the hips or with decidedly pregnant lips where used to reside thin lines, without learning what goes into all of that. Dieting, detoxification and rehabilitation are all the rage in this game and in particular in Hollywood in this game. Although there are many options of ways to detoxify or lose weight, I chose the most extreme, the Master Cleanse. I am a Scorpio. Extremes are my turf. Saturday night I was dancing on tabletops, swigging directly out of a bottle of tequila, chain-smoking a Tijuana fiesta away... (more)

Hollywood's Trash, Society's Treasure

By Lila M., published on Feb 23, 2008

We’ve all heard the saying, “one person’s trash is another’s treasure…”, well apparently it has become just that. Hollywood’s trash has become society’s treasures. This is ever present in the case of the motley crew of rich celebutantes who have defaced and stripped the once glitzy and alluring city with all its class and wonderment and turned it into a cheap version of the Bunny Ranch which even Ron Jeremy wouldn’t dare touch.

Unfortunately, the new wave of brat pack known as Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and the rest of this booze (and bodily fluid) stained crew have... (more)

The Urban Coyote: The true Hollywood story!

By E Jo, published on Jan 26, 2007

...and that they choose one mate for life. I’ve heard coyotes howling in the distance and have seen them in desert areas of Arizona and New Mexico but I never expected to see one in the middle of a city in California. Recently, more than 30 sightings of coyotes have occurred in the Hollywood area near the intersection of Fairfax and Hollywood Blvd. This is a pretty affluent area; then again it is not far from Runyon Canyon Park. It wouldn’t be too strange to see a coyote here, unlike “Hal” the curious coyote found in Manhattan’s Central Park in 2006.... (more)
