Manuel Buencamino: The truth behind China's nine-dash map
Even Jose Maria Sison, founder of the Maoist Communist Party of the Philippines, calls Communist China's claim to Panatag Shoal a historical absurdity: “Chinese historical claims since ancient times amount to an absurdity as this would be like Italy claiming as its sovereign possession all areas previously occupied by the Roman Empire."
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Chairman Joma Sison are of one mind on the issue. In response to a self-serving position paper where the Red Chinese Embassy claimed "Huangyan Island (China's name for Panatag Shoal) has been the traditional fishing... (more)

PH urges other countries to take stand on China
MANILA, Philippines -- Foreign Secretary Albert del Rosario on Sunday called on other nations to take a stand on China's new aggressiveness in a simmering territorial dispute over a shoal in the South China Sea, which Manila calls the West Philippine Sea.
Del Rosario warned in a statement that other nations would be affected by China's claim over the mineral-rich area if they did not speak up now, like the Philippines is doing.

Fossilized Alien remains found in China
A recent discovery by a family of Chinese sheepherders in the Wongchow Province of China has astonished NASA. The skeletal remains of what appears to be an unknown life form, which NASA experts suggest might be the remains of an alien life form, were unearthed during a recent earthquake in the province. There is no direct evidence, at this time, that the remains are alien. But one NASA researcher stated: " We're very excited at this point! We can't conclusively say that they derived from an alien source however we are sure that they belong to a species not known in the annals of... (more)
China at the Cliff
In September 2007, as our credit bubble was starting its collapse, China’s meteoric rise was the subject of universal admiration. We disagreed with this view, and wrote an essay titled “The Chinese Disaster” outlining the flaws in the Chinese growth model and suggesting a potentially disastrous end to the experiment.
Four years later it is appropriate to revisit both analysis and forecast.
Our first theme in the original essay was the lack of an ethical system underlying China’s current development. After Mao had “burned the books” and destroyed China’s 2500-year old ethical foundation... (more)

U.S. Economy Easily Held Hostage By China
...Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson in February 2007. She warned that the high level of foreign debt obligations the U.S. had and was incurring were a “source of great vulnerability.
