What Delusional World Do They Live In?

By Steven Blake, published on May 6, 2011

Well we have Ismail Haniyeh, prime minister of the Hamas opening his mouth today and inserting his foot today. It's amazing to me how people can turn and twist things that have been said and/or done and make them to be right for the fight or the pause for the cause. Haniyeh stated, "We condemn the assassination and the killing of an Arab holy warrior," Lets start here, this is so funny all in its own I mean the word assassination, we do realize that the definition is ,"To murder (a prominent person) by surprise attack, as for political reasons." I want you to read that statement again and stop... (more)

The Real Chasing Amy

By Steven Blake, published on Feb 16, 2008

I do. I remember growing up and really seeing the sunset for the first time; the moon on the horizon. Maybe it was my age of innocence? I remember hopes, dreams, feelings, and thoughts as if nothing could stand in my way. Was I wrong.

It was the 1994, I was home from college for my neighbor's wedding who I went to school with and hung out with. I was just starting to experience life; letting my hair grow long, alcohol, and all things that come with being independent for the first time. I came home to my parents house that morning and I remember my mother begged me to get a haircut... (more)

Hey Look It's A UFO!

By Steven Blake, published on Jan 25, 2008

So recently it seems that some sightings in Stephenville, Texas have caused a little stir. No one seems to know what they were, but one eye witness said the he could see two of our jets chasing after it. The military says they had nothing going on in the area, AT ALL-NOTHING. Okay well then, lets just chalk it up to a crazy unexplainable event. Now three days go by and the media is going crazy over it and the town is going alien crazy. Oh and the military comes out and says oh yeah we were having training with TEN F-16s in the area that night. How do you forget you have TEN F-16's in the area?... (more)

Putin Claims Foreign Countries Interfering With Elections

By Steven Blake, published on Nov 26, 2007

Specifically the United States was to blame for it. Supposedly Vladimir Putin believes that the State Department had something to do with the rallies over the weekend and had words with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe's ODIHR. Which

I couldn't see why the rallies might of happened with the way Putin runs the country. I mean with him sending in the police and arresting people on the charges of "unsanctioned" rallies specifically Garry Kasparov and "dozens" others out a crowd of approximately 2000. Kasparov was convicted and sentenced to five days in jail almost... (more)

Los Angeles, The City That Can Break You...Or Can It?

By Steven Blake, published on Nov 25, 2007

There was a time in my life where romance poured out of me, like a waterfall with an endless supply of water. I found the woman of my dreams at my neighbors’ wedding. It was a day of changing for me. I found myself going for a haircut in between the wedding and the dinner; just to impress this girl I had met and began what seemed to be an endless romantic tale. That was 14 years ago. Today I am divorced and disheartened. I have not dated someone serious for any serious amount of time since my divorce ten years ago. In the beginning I thought it was me being blackened by a heart broke at such... (more)

NASA: Need Another Shot of Alcohol

By Steven Blake, published on Jul 28, 2007

That's right another blemish on NASA's already tarnished name seems to be coming out. Rumors of astronauts drinking heavily before takeoff have rocked the space community. After the incident with Lisa Norwalk, NASA decided to create an independent panel for astronaut health. Aviation Week & Space Technology reported that the panel found “heavy use of alcohol” within the twelve hour “bottle to throttle” rule. The magazine also said that the panel found that on two separate occasions astronauts were allowed to fly even though the flight surgeons and other astronauts had said that... (more)

To Endeavour? Or Not To Endeavor

By Steven Blake, published on Jul 15, 2007

NASA finished rolling the space shuttle Endeavour out to the launch pad on Wednesday in preparation for the August 7th launch. It was met at the pad with a sign that said “Go Endeavor!” but the correct spelling of the shuttle is Endeavour, the British way to spell it. The space shuttle was named after the British explorer James Cook, whose first ship he commanded was the Endeavour. Within 90 minutes of this banner being up, it was taken back down and replaced with a new banner with the correct spelling. I thought it was a pretty fast turn around to put up a different banner. Then again these... (more)

Taking Responsibility For What We Do As A Nation

By Steven Blake, published on Jul 10, 2007

**For what I am about to say I only ask that you to give this point of view a thought with an open mind** I understand that a great part of our nation is leaning towards bringing our troops home. I respect, understand, and appreciate that. Nothing would make me happier in my mind than to have all of our families out of harm’s way. We as a nation decided to go into Iraq and take Saddam out of power. As a nation, remember that phrase. We also have a responsibility as a nation to help get Iraq on its feet. As a nation we went in there and caused this destruction and turmoil and in my mind we... (more)
