Beverly Hills - The Playboy Jazz Festival Free Community Concert was held on May 5, "Cinco de Mayo" in the City of Beverly Hills. This is the 19th Annual Playboy Jazz Festival Free Community Concert in Beverly Hills. The concert was held at the Beverly Hills Civic Center Plaza with excellent acoustics. The sun toyed with the crowd and me on this sometimes overcast, otherwise sunny day.

New Orleans- Food,arts and crafts and New Orleans music and dance were all part of the festivities that people enjoyed on Thursday,April 25th. People United for Armstrong Park, presented "Jazz in the Park" and Marketplace in Louis Armstrong Park, 801 N. Rampart Street.

Santa Monica - It is not too often that you get to see a great movie with the blues as its soundtrack. To top it off, movie goers were treated to a live performance of the blues at the conclusion of the movie.

I'm referring to the movie Babe's and Ricky's Inn, directed by Ramin Niami. Carnival Time and Super Bowl Week in New Orleans

New Orleans - I returned to New Orleans, Sunday, January 27 through Thursday, January 31,2013 for the umpteenth time to partake in Carnival season and Super Bowl Week activities. The locals affectionally referred to as "Super Gras". This short trip to the Crescent City, aka N'Awlins was filled with many memorable events.
