Taking it to the Streets for Leimert Park Art & Music Festival
Los Angeles-A huge diverse crowd of thousands found themselves in Leimert Park Village, the epicenter and heart of African American cultural community. The crowd came to partake in and celebrate our rich and vibrant culture that was displayed Labor Day Weekend, August 30-September 1, 2014.
The occasion was the 6th Annual Leimert Park Village African Art and Music Festival presented by The Leimert ParkVillage Group and Council President Herb. J. Wesson. 2014 Festival theme “Shaping Our Destiny.”

Gardena Jazz Festival-Jazz in the Park
Gardena-The City of Gardena was in a celebratory mood once again. On Sunday, August 24th, the city held its annual Gardena Jazz Festival. This is a signature event for the City of Gardena, held in Rowley Park, from 11:30AM-7:00PM.
Founded in 2003 by then Councilmember Steven Bradford, the Gardena Jazz Festival has already proven that it is one of the best in Southern California for the global jazz community.

Long Beach Jazz Festival-Sing That Summer Song
Long Beach-The Long Beach Jazz Festival returned to grassy knoll of the Rainbow Lagoon, on Saturday, August 9th and Sunday, August 10th. This was the 27th edition of the festival that put the City of Long Beach on the world wide jazz map. The weather was nice and pleasant for the most part on Saturday, and a bit hot on Sunday.

Cultural Diversity Celebrated in Inglewood
Inglewood- Inglewood Cultural Arts (ICA), a non-profit organization provided a surge of energy to shine the spotlight on the City of Inglewood. The occasion was the inaugural Afro Latin Music and Dance Festival, held on Saturday, July 26, from 12PM-6:00PM. Santa Monica- For the past month or so, the Global soccer community had their eyes glued to televisions, computers, cell phones and/or had their ears close to the radio, for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Depending on who one was cheering for, this journey featured many thrilling victories or devastating defeats. Overall, records crowds have been tuning into all or some matches that was televised or broadcast on the radio.

Long Beach-The arrival of the Summer Solstice is greeted with plenty of fanfare. Case in point, the official start of Summer fell on the same day as the Long Beach Bayou Festival. The festival was held on Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22 2014.

Playboy Jazz Festival-The Tradition Continues
Hollywood-The Playboy Jazz Festival returned to the iconic Hollywood Bowl, June 14-15, 2014 for its 36th edition. For 35 years, the festival sailed under the Playboy banner. The 36th edition is under new management, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, who promised and delivered a well attended and well received festival.
