Still remember like Yest'day

By Rahul, published on Apr 18, 2013

Still remember like yest'rday,

When I saw you first time,

I felt a tug inside and

-my whole world changed.

Still remember like yest'day,

How I loved the first shine,

Reaching early to see you

-and the last ride home with you.

Still remember like yest'day,

How your every smile was, was

-all that I lived for each day.

And you became my life.

Still remember like yest'day,

How things changed once you were mine -

and how priorities changed.

Loved you in my own way -

but just can't remember... (more)

Light at the end o' the Tunnel

By Rahul, published on Mar 23, 2013

Anytime it feels like

can’t move on anymore

all hope is lost, or

there is no light at

the end of the tunnel.

Try helping someone,

someone random.

For it’s not what you get

but what you become that

matters in the end.

For if your thoughts define you,

then it’s your deeds that

build you slowly but surely.

And soon u will realise,

the light at the end o' the tunnel

was, all along within.

Marriage

By Rahul, published on Mar 11, 2013

When I saw a contest in indiblogger about ‘Love marriage or Arranged marriage’ I decided to write on marriage. Before I begin I need to tell you whether I am married or not, I am single and am not thinking about marriage until I reach 26. This being the situation it will be totally inappropriate and unconvincing If I criticize or even say something about both love and arranged marriages. I may be able to say few goods and flaws of both type of marriages based on others experience –mainly my relatives and friends- but instead of that I wish to share the four fundamental principles of married... (more)

By Rahul, published on Mar 8, 2013

I am little sunflower,

Yellow and bright.

Standing tall,

When sun rise.

Swaying in wind,

Side to side.

I am little sunflower,

Yellow and bright.

A Promise

By Rahul, published on Feb 16, 2013

Can’t get you the moon,

Nor do I promise the stars.

But a smile on your face

is all that I promise.

To be the reason for your smile,

that spark in your eyes,

that rhythm of your beat,

is all that I promise.

Start over each day,

love you in a million way,

walk with you all the way,

is all that I promise.

The Hair Incident

By Rahul, published on Feb 8, 2013

I was in my first years, when that incident happened. Joined an engineering college in Coimbatore and had to endure a lot to push through the first six months as a newbie. Staying away from home, constant humiliation from the seniors in the name of ragging, pressure of assignments and class tests and above all the daily struggle for adjusting my stomach to the hostel food had made my life a mini hell. Though each day felt like a struggle to survive there were many memorable incidents which were much exiting and some most weird. Such an incident happened around the curly hair of two of my... (more)

Freedom from CASTE & RELIGION

By Rahul, published on Jan 31, 2013

Do we Indians take cast and religion too much seriously or is it that they are the only things we care about. It may be an intuitive thought but nevertheless it seems like that the greatest threat to our nation is not our neighboring countries (Pakistan and China) or the Maoist insurgency, it is the numerous religions and castes that prevail here. They have rooted so deep into the soil of our nation that any decisions made or anything done in this country should consider both above the needs, interests and wellbeing of its people.

The recent outrageous act towards a film ‘Vishwaroopam’... (more)

Like few THREADS.

By Rahul, published on Jan 26, 2013

Now when I think about how I was when I reached twenty, all my life behind was only a vague picture to me then. It was like numerous threads stretched parallel not touching each other leaving gaps which I couldn't connect. I kept on trying, looking back again and again but nothing was clear to me. There were times when I could spot the threads that carried the precious moments of happiness and the ones which carried the saddest moments but when I try to think about them my face got sad and it felt like they were just threads laid apart so apart from my life.

I was hopeless and totally... (more)
