To My Amazing Children,

MeMe, Butch, Bruiser & Brody October 1, 2028

First off let me begin by saying Happy 18th birthday Brody. It seems like only yesterday you were struggling to breathe and they were wheeling you off to the NICU while I was still in surgery. It was a long 6 days but with my emotional melt down in front of the staff after they told us I was being released and sent home 45 minutes away while you stay... (more)

By Miranda, published on Oct 26, 2011

An Angel From Hell by Ryan A. Conklin

By Miranda, published on Oct 25, 2011

I finally finished An Angel From Hell by Ryan Conklin. I have to admit this book took me awhile to finish. Ryan Conklin was a castmate on MTV's Real World and had a fun, happy, easy going personality. He was the funny all American guy with the guitar and hilarious songs. At the end of the season he receives heart breaking news that he was being called back for another round of active duty. It was a hard episode to watch and when I found out later he had written a book I was ecstatic and had to read it!

Turkey Fryer Explosion in Slow Motion; Lesson Learned!

By Miranda, published on Oct 24, 2011

The other day Sherman and I were lying on the couch watching TV and he was in control of the remote. We started watching a show called Time Warp on The Discovery Channel.

Usually when Sherman has the remote he watches anything to do with Military, Aliens, History, documentary, various law enforcement or hot chicks with 2 criteria, preferable in one of those types of shows or naked. On this particular day and show there were no ladies and the show was far more entertaining!

We learned about grease fires and the wrong way to “extinguish” them. Some people know that you do NOT use... (more)
