After cooling down a bit from my last article, and getting my senses back together and feeling a little serene. I thought I'd be a good boy and to show you that my hearts' in the right place, I'll fight any man in the house! I'm kiddin' ya! On the serious note... I don't know too much about Hanukkah and Kwanzaa or anything like that. I'm just going to give you all a solid MERRY CHRISTMAS! Weather you like it or not and spare the political correctness about it. I don't want to hear it! I want to wish you the best that life can give. Happiness and Good Health! You are all a pretty good group... (more)
My brother calls me up around 7pm and he tells me that he's going to send me $250.00 dollars. I say to him, what for? Because this guy came to my shop and offered to buy them, he tells me. I blew a fuse at him for the simple fact that he made a move without talking to me about it first! My only premier drum set that I own, and this wacko wants to get rid of it. "Who do you think you are, wiseguy?" It's not just a drum set, it's a vintage set circa 1970's. Along with my set he was throwing in all of my snare drum collection, and all vintage as well. It took years of hard work at a drum shop and... (more)
December 4th, 2007, Jessica Sherwood had to do something no mother should ever have to do.
At 2:29 pm Jessica made a very tough, but the right decision to take her little 3 month old daughter off life support. In memory of little London Marie. Jessica had a message that I want every one to know... This is what jessica said: IF ANYONE HAS KIDS MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THEM WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES. DONT GIVE THEM TO ANYONE THAT YOU DONT TRUST... I THOUGHT I TRUSTED JOSH... BUT NOW AS OF 12-4-07 AT 2:29AM SHE IS GONE... MY ONE AND ONLY BABY... I LOST THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, MY BABY GIRL.... SHE... (more)
That's all I keep hearing about with today's athletes and the use of steroids to achieve goals. Times are tough regardless! Why take easy street to surpass records? Here's the deal... If you worked hard to get to the top, you got to keep working hard to stay at the top. Plain and pure F'in simple. In December of 1925 Babe Ruth did something that no other ball player at the time would do. He got himself a personal trainer. He joined Artie McGovern's gymnasium in New York City which catered to the wealthy, including world heavyweight champ Jack Dempsey. The Babe was only 30 years old and had... (more)
He's the reason why I picked up the sticks! I have other favorite drummers, but Moonie will always remain at the top of my list. He lived his life to the fullest and he lived it the way he wanted. That's what I admired about the man. He was a great showman behind the drums and in his personal life. He wasn't a technical drummer, and he hit those skins hard and resonated a bombastic sound. Not much of a time keeper and any gaps in the song he would fill in with a tripalet or an explosive roll on the tom tom, then quickly returning to the song without missing a beat. He was the first drummer to... (more)
This is not about the gold rush of 1869 or the value of gold in the market. This is a subject matter which might be a taboo or it could be worse as a curse word. If you bring it to their attention and shine the truth on them like a spotlight you might get a dirty look or a slap. Since I'm no stranger to punches it doesn't really bother me, and a little slap isn't going to hurt me.
I don't understand why these girls get offended. It's like when you call them sluts, they get mad and tear up. If you are what you are be proud and own up to it. Plain and pure F'in simple! My testosterone... (more)

A deadly combination! I am sure we have all heard some type of saying about money from "money can't buy happiness," to "money isn't everything," to "money is happiness."
I would just like to know how everybody feels about this topic. I'd like to hear your gut honest opinion and mean it!
Money isn't everything, but in society, money is made to be all that matters. Personally, I think everyone would be a lot happier if they never had to see money again...but that's impossible. Can money really buy happiness? I would be much happier if I had enough money not to have to worry about... (more)
In the typical world of the 9 to 5 job where working for 'The Man' is stressful enough. You're always trying to find a way to beat the system or defy the rules by being the rebel among your staff. Someone who others can look up to knowing that you've stood up to 'The Man'. What if your problem is not...with 'The Man'?(In most cases it does) But this is special and more challenging. Why? Because, not only is 'The Man' an individual that you despise but he/she seems to counter by hiring a nemesis to the working staff. This is called the co-worker nightmare. "Gentlemen, I'd like to introduce a... (more)
"There's a new jewel in the crown of Southern California. The beautiful new town of Hawthorne."
That was a newspaper advertisement that appeared on January 6, 1906. It was also advertised as the town "between the City and the Sea." Built and sold homes on small down and long time payments.
A lot could be had for $75 with a $1 down payment and a mortgage of $1 per month. Hawthorne is centrally located in the South Bay section of Los Angeles County, which is about 14 miles south/southwest of downtown Los Angeles and about 14 miles northwest of downtown Long Beach. The town of... (more)
