Saddlebacking: Do It For Jesus!

By john robertson, published on Feb 3, 2009

Whereas most individuals are familiar with the term "barebacking", only a select, special few are familiar with the new word for an old activity, known as "saddlebacking". What pray tell is it? Well, "saddlebacking" is the phenomenon of pimple faced Christian teens engaging in unprotected anal sex in order to protect their virginities. (http://www.sadlebackin...) For example: After attending the Celibacy Ball, at Rick Warren's Saddleback Church, Shirley and Stan saddlebacked like rabbits to protect their virginity. "Hmm," you may be thinking. "This is just a fancy way of saying sodomy. In what... (more)

Reagan Era Republicans: Will They Be The Ones "left Behind"?

By john robertson, published on Feb 2, 2009

On January 20, 1981 a new era in politics was sworn in. Although Ronald Reagan would not be America’s first “cowboy president”, he would turn out to be America’s most influential president in decades; leaving behind a dark legacy upon the world that would last nearly thirty years.

“I am told that tens of thousands of prayer meetings are being held on this day…” Reagan said during his Inauguration speech. “For that I am deeply grateful. We are a nation under God, and I believe God intended for us to be free. It would be fitting and... (more)

Requiem For A Dream: The Decline Of American Values

By john robertson, published on Jan 18, 2009

Living in the aftermath of the passage of Proposition 8, I am compelled to point out that most voters are misguided when it comes totheir critiques of the judges and the politicians who support overturning the narrowly won constitutional amendment. After much reading of the blogosphere,Fox News watching, and editorial surfing; I am amazed that at the core of this issue is not merely a misunderstanding about what Proposition 8 is or is not, but rather it is a gross failure by the majority to understand what our country is and is not. In short: America is not and never has been areal democracy!

Crap Consuming Underwater Cockroaches: Mmm, Mmm Good!

By john robertson, published on Jan 17, 2009

Some things are just never as good as they promise to be. For example: sequels to previously good summer blockbusters. The movie version of best selling novels. Folksy presidents from Texas who struggle with English. FEMA after a flood in the French Quarter. The grass on the other side. When I was a kid my folks got it in their minds that moving us out of the burbs and onto a ranch in the country would be a wholesome way to raise up their brood. They purchased a three acre ranch fully furnished with props. It came with a pony named Trigger, a coop full of hens and one rooster, a pond with ducks... (more)

God, Status And Head: The Kenneth Starr Story

By john robertson, published on Jan 14, 2009

Well, well, well... Where to begin? The infamous Mr. Starr goes to Washington one more time, and just like before, he has his panties all in a wad over somebody else getting a blow job. Let's take a brief stroll down memory lane and review how we got here from there, shall we?In the ninties, in an effort to cripple, (if not outright demolish) a widly beloved and historically successful President- the defensive Republicans hired Kenneth Starr to be their gun. The goal: to break down the President's reputation and clout by finding him guilty of all sorts of atrocities; White Water, murder, sexual... (more)

Burgos Case Mirrors Mcmartin Trial UPDATE

By john robertson, published on Jun 7, 2008

Although it is not the first case of its kind, it is now the longest in California history, exceeding the record previously held only by the now notorious McMartin Preschool case from the eighties. Parallels abound: beginning with the fact that in both cases the accuser is the son of a clinically diagnosed mentally ill woman and comes from a family all too often under the watchful eye of CPS. Also, in both cases, an arrest was made based upon an accusation alone- without evidence to prove a crime had occurred at all.

Most disturbingly, however, is the similarity between the prosecution... (more)

Prosecutor Lori Frugoli UPDATE

By john robertson, published on Jun 7, 2008

For at least the sixth time, Prosecutor Lori Frugoli refused to give closing arguments, in what has turned into the longest and perhaps costliest preliminary hearing in California history. In April of 2008, in an effort to reign in the prosecution, Judge Faye D’Opal finally denied the prosecutor’s request for even more time, and did not allow her to file any new motions. After twenty-two months of granting Frugoli endless opportunities to gather together a case, the judge announced, “It is time to put this matter to rest.” The judge then scheduled closing arguments for May 29th and instructed... (more)
