Sharlene "Rockshar" Hardin was taken into custoday today in Santa Monica at Lionsgate where she has been posing as an employee for the past 3 1/2 years. Always one step ahead of the FBI, Rockshar tripped up when she showed up for the company's Halloween Costume Contest wearing an Orange Jumpsuit issued to her while serving time in a Northern California Correctional Facility.Lionsgate officials when questioned issued no comment. Although Rockshar's ability to blend in with her surroundings was confirmed by inside sources who reveal that few people even know that Sharlene Hardin even worked for... (more)
I am a pagan and while I enjoy “getting my Irish on” for St. Patrick’s day as much as the next whiskey drinker –I revel in the irony that St. Patrick would absolutely HATE it! You see, a) I’m a Pagan and 2) St. Patrick “drove out” the Druids, in the form of genocide (actual reptiles, not so much liking the cold Emerald Isle, you see – but the serpent is a Druid symbol and one that has a rather notorious role in the book of Genesis.) The kindly Bishop Patrick hated the Druids – and history has many versions of why that may be, some say he... (more)
As of February 18th 2008 the number of children infected during this recent measles outbreak in San Diego, California is 11, the county was still waiting for confirmation on the status of the possible 12th child. This outbreak adds fuel to the vaccination debate that rages across this nation - from the recent "death march" through the courthouse for jabs in Maryland to this measles outbreak that was started by a child whose vaccination record is current; this debate will never be put to rest as long as parents have voices.
Parents on both sides of this issue are as vocal as anything... (more)
Have you ever noticed when a relationship is ending and one person says "I need more space" the amount of space they are referring to is the exact height, weight, and depth as you? Relationships are treacherous waters to navigate and everyone has advice and opinions on how to go about them.
Do you trust your best friend whose only lasting commitment has been to a pair of Manolo Blahnik pumps that went out of style in 1999 but she still wears them for sentimental reasons? Or do you listen to your brother who is a serial monogamist with 3 divorces to his CV? Do you trust your parents... (more)
I play the lottery each week and cross my fingers just like millions of people. I daydream about what I would do with the money, the bills I would pay off, the things I would do for family and for friends to ease their financial burdens, the college funds I would set up, the traveling I would do, the inevitable shopping spree, the philanthropic enterprises I would set up and support. I might be like Bill Gates and hire someone just to give away my money. Hey, if you're going to dream, dream big. They say money can't buy happiness nor love; they say the love of money is the root of all evil;... (more)
I read, I'm a reader, I'll read almost anything; the label on the toothpaste tube, the weekly Fry's advert, Playboy, or even better introduce me to a new author and we'll be friends for life. Of the authors I seek out on purpose the list is varied, I have just finished a run through the collected works of Chuck Palahniuk - you know, the bloke who wrote Fight Club? One Rolling Stone reviewer called Mr. Palahniuk "More twisted than a bag of pretzels and edgier than a stop sign." When you get involved in one of his stories you really get involved it's like a soap opera you can't wait to see what... (more)

Seems like most of the world's religions have something to celebrate in December and for the most part the politically correct media strives to include them all. Sadly, they manage to omit yuletide greetings for the pagan population. Pagans of all traditions celebrate the winter solstice. In pre-christian Rome they celebrated Saturnalia as their winter holiday, the Nordic peoples celebrated Yule in honor of Thor, the Druids also welcomed the return of the light in December. Celebrating the end of darkness is recongnized in almost all religions many of them hundreds and thousands of years older... (more)
I am not a basement dwelling, 22-sided dice throwing, standing outside the comic book store at 9:59 am on Wednesday mornings, no ability to carry on a conversation with a live person nerd. I have no basement in my home, I haven’t played Dungeons and Dragons since I was 15 and the last comic book I read was the Sandman series. However, I do watch Battlestar Galactica, I miss Firefly and Buffy, and I think Empire was by far the best Star Wars movie. That being said, Geek is not a derogatory term for me, call me geek and I will agree with you. I spend a fair amount of time online, not as much... (more)
