Polygamy Vs. Ethical Slut

By baynurse, published on Jul 24, 2008

So the sect of polygamists has been insulted, destroyed and families broken apart over some choices some people made. I don't get it? So if hugh heffner's playboy bunnies were to legally have some say in their arrangement with Mr. H. like patrimony or alimony it would be a benefit to be seen with the viagra viking himself. But he can do as he can or wants because there aren't any laws saying how many lovers or service submissives you can have. Yet our laws govern that you can only have one lover, and one service submissive, if you legally commit to her by marriage. Hmmm, I aint stoopid, sounds... (more)

Marriage Schmarriage Gay Or Het

By baynurse, published on Jul 21, 2008

I have been pondering, but not much, about marriage. Who cares!! government and laws, and privileges for people getting together with each other just aint right.

Some folks marry for all the wrong reasons and regret it for life, some marry for the right reasons to the wrong person. Some marry for money, green cards, social status, pre made arrangement, social standards, peer and family pressure.. blah blah blah and so on..

I personally don't need a piece of paper or government sanctions on whom I love, or whom I sleep with, or whom I want in my life, my home, my bed, my space.... (more)

Gimme My Money

By baynurse, published on Jul 20, 2008

I had been saving up to buy a small, used, gas saving car. I knew if I found a good deal I would have to act fast and with cash in hand. I found one! yeah! a sweet deal, low mileage, good body condition, great gas mileage, I was the first one to call and the first one with cash in hand gets the goods. No problem, I have my savings, ready for action and just this very thing.

I went to the bank, no name mentioned but sounds like a beating of a cow, to get MY CASH, of course I have enough, I fill out the slip, greet the nice cashier, make small talk, and get refused MY MONEY. Oh, Hell... (more)

A Trip Into Hell

By baynurse, published on Jun 27, 2008

On a recent trip to Las Vegas, I was observing the faces and behaviors of people who come here to take a chance with lady luck, observing the degradation of humanity for minimum wage. Where I saw a woman wearing a costume of a furry animal in 100 degree weather for advertising somestore sale. I wonder how much she was paid for this, as many next to her were also holding up signs with their bodies at street corners. Ah human billboards, folks addicted to gambling, drinking, and having more than they need all in the name of entertainment.

I observe the streets filled with... (more)

I Met Jesus In A Trailer Park

By baynurse, published on Apr 27, 2008

I am a writer. I publish online and to some spiritual magazines. Nowadays, you can publish in about an hour and get comments and reviews immediately on your work. I am new at this and wrote my first articles to get comments from many a jokester complaining about my skills and lack of ability in my writing, calling me everything from a harmless simpleton to a maniacal monster to even asking if I was Jesus. I was about to respond to the last comment by saying that I am not Jesus but I could fetch him from the back where he is mowing the lawn. I used prudence and did not make any... (more)

Empty Pockets And A Ticket To Nowhere

By baynurse, published on Apr 15, 2008

The opportunities for a high school graduate are pitiful. Today's young people have nothing to look forward to. College is an unaffordable luxury for most, with no guarantees that it will be worth the sacrifices and time spent. Nor are there programs for different learning abilities. The news is that jobless rates are extremely high and the economy is extremely down. Housing, food and entertainment are unaffordable. When a young person is at their healthiest, most exuberant time in life, ready to be in the world and show themselves to be vibrant and contribute their talents and abilities, we... (more)

By baynurse, published on Feb 26, 2008

I remember one new years eve. I was in nursing school with my first lover ever. I had to work that day, I was taking care of a woman with brain damage secondary from her bout with equine encephalitis. I remember everything about that day, it was a crisp and beautiful December 31st. As per usual a cold , clear sunny day in California. My suitemate and lover, was to have lunch with her family that day, then come back so we can go out to a friends house for a new years eve party. I got home from work, got ready, and excited for a fun time ahead, this was going to be our first new years eve... (more)

Tales Of A Nurse: Taboo

By baynurse, published on Feb 23, 2008

I have been holding on to this for a while now, I have no where to talk about it, I couldn’t , I would not be heard, not be believed, or I would be called a liar and a trouble maker and a shit stirrer.

Last year at a famous women’s music festival in the Midwest, I was a volunteer nurse at the free health clinic held there. It is a fun and relaxed environment, mostly treating insect bites, and sunburns, with an occasional rash or fall.

My first shift changed my life and my perspective and changed how much I enjoyed this event and how much I thought women were... (more)

Gift Giving Made Simple

By baynurse, published on Dec 9, 2007

What do you give someone who has everything? Someone who can buy anything they want, or someone who doesn't buy anything, because they don't look for things to fill them up. What is priceless and free? Time... attention...memories. Those things cannot be bought. Money can't buy me love... I see a love that money just can't buy, living in a material world, and I am a material girl... Give the gift of yourself, create a memory for someone, a memory of loving kindness, or time well spent. Things break, fads move on, nothing lasts forever. A memory can be with... (more)

The Face of the Homeless, Look in the Mirror

By baynurse, published on Dec 7, 2007

In my 22 years of working with the homeless and addicts in hospitals and clinics, I too asked myself why are they like this, why do they continue from pain into more pain and most of it brought on by their own choices. I would take my walks around the clinic and the civic center, watching, people of all kinds, some talking on their cell phones , some smoking a cigarette outside their 20 foot radius outside their building, some walking in a hurry to somewhere they have to be.Some taking and or selling dope, some sleeping under newspapers in front of city hall, some talking to themselves or... (more)
