I've lived here all my life, so, my opinion is probably biased. In fact, I was born in Hollywood, CA, USA probably the most famous suburb of Los Angeles there is. The thing I like about LA is that it's extremely diverse, or to put more simply, just plain big. Of course, this may be a function of the county as opposed to the city itself.

I got asked this the other day. I didn't know how to respond right away, however, when I want to mess with people's heads, I reply: I play poker. To which they'll almost always respond, You play poker? Now, since you can't hear the inflection in their collective voices when they respond, it's usually in one of two ways. Well, I'm here to tell you. This comes up because right now, the most famous festival, the Cannes Film Festival, is taking place in, you guessed it, Cannes. Which is apparently a French word meaning, "Film Festival." In any case, a quick check of the site http://www.filmfestivals.com will tell you that there are more film festivals each year than there are days of the year.
