Give Me Purple Everyday!!!

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Feb 3, 2013

Give me purple everyday

Make me smile as I play

Let's run here

Let's run there

Forgive me dear if

You think I'm square...

See that puddle on the ground

I refuse to walk around

Jumping in with hands held high

Taking a trip up to the sky

Smiling as I feel so free

Next I want to climb that tree...

Once a man

Twice a child

Now I will be just that

Even if you call me brat

It's okay if you stare

Kindly keep me in your prayers...

Rebirth

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Jan 30, 2013

There are times

When I want to

Run away from it all

My mind spins in circles

Searching to make sense

Of what will never make sense....

Insensitivity echos loudly

At times feeling like it

Crushes my heart and soul

Why foster bitterness and hate?

Does this really bring any happiness?

Release it all into the abyss...

Do we need a giant vacuüm ?

To sweep clean all the hate

To polish our sacred values

To clear the dust of ignorance

Growing unknowingly

Inside a stunted self...... (more)

Listen To The Wind

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Jan 27, 2013

Gathering of twinkling stars

Shining with perfection of love

Do you see it?

Reach up and touch it

With your fingertips

Blink and it shall

Fall caressing your soul...

A flower planted giving forth

Seeds which spring into life

Each petal telling it's own story

The fragrance intoxicating

One by one her petals fall

Sprouting into a new spring

Manifesting a new peace...

Step upon this river

Which is frozen now

Breath deeply inhaling

Conscious realization

You will find me... (more)

Journey On

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Jan 15, 2013

Appointed we embraced Walking into the flame

Inseparable we danced in unity

Discerning we would never be the same...

Fall gave birth to joyWinter we bathed in the warmthSummer welcomed us daily

Spring brought forth fruition of growth

Rains and clouds passed us by

Dissolving into rainbows...

Carpeted in mellow thoughts

Our story is written

Never to be destroyed

Without us

One would not be

Who we are now...

Even in the void There is still existenceThrough the tears We remember and celebrate Standing on... (more)

A Conversation With My Soul

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Jan 12, 2013

Be calm my heart

Do not hasten so

Be steadfast slowly

Embracing this new place ...

What are you searching for?

What is the hunger in your veins?

Why are you afraid ?

All you need is inside you...

All you are is engrained

Through your sweat and tears

You lack nothing to be

All you are destined to be...

No one can run from time

Clasp it in your arms

Gladden my heart

You have never been weak...

The pulse of my life

Echos serenely in my mind

Asking if my dreams can come... (more)

My Home

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Jan 10, 2013

The home I live in

Resides inside my soul

It is not visible to the eyes

To know it, feel it

Open your own heart to see within...

This home does not

Worship diamonds or pearls

There is no longing

For things and paraphernalia

It lives in simplicity...

The walls are painted in empathy

The floors are blessed with understanding

The kitchen feeds the soul's knowledge

Put down your burdens

Rest in the sublime freedom of love...

Sharing my home

I laugh, I cry, I sing, I dance

Quietly... (more)

Silence Of The Soul

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Jan 3, 2013

Finding peace in dark silence

As the shadows

Tiptoe inside my dreams

No expectations

To shame my thoughts

Breathing exaltation

Inspiration to my heart...

Pure innocence belonging to

A call of my soul

When the ego becomes tired

Of dancing to daylight

Visions of obligation...

Let me embrace this silence

Be lost in the tranquil respite

Swaying in my mind

To the lullabies

Of blissful reticence ...

I Am A Dreamer Of Dreams

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Dec 30, 2012

I am a dreamer of dreams and always will be...Yes, life can send them crashing into oblivion. My unfailing will finds the key to resurrect them; bringing them safely to a place of hope.

What is the difference between those who dream and those who do not? ...Is it a matter of perspective ? Or has God blessed the dreamer with infinite grace...

Those who dream are not lost to this world, but rather build a bridge to the next world. A place of believing, a place of surrender, a place which is a haven to any unknown burdens. This world is what is and what may be...it breathes... (more)

The Birth Of Passion

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Dec 26, 2012

Before even knowing

Envisioned

Before mine eyes blessed yours

Contemplated

Before I held you

Embraced

Before we kissed

Adored

Tender chivalrous graciousness

Surrendering of our hearts Merging splendrous magnificence

Coronated

Giving soul the touch

Of heaven's birthright

An unaltered state

Of pureness and sacred gifts

Sealed like a treasured love letter

Hidden cherished abundance

Every secret revealed

Kissed with the beauty of truth

Knowing in that moment

Intuition

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Dec 21, 2012

Years ago while working at the drop-in center for the homeless we had gone on a retreat to renew ourselves. In this job, it truly was necessary. Before we had gone we took temperment sorter test . It was the long version of the Myers-Briggs Temperament Sorter Test. I found out I was an INFP.....identified as the Idealist Healer.....and it seems only 1% of the population is this. So I knew I was a little different, but this certainly confirmed it to me.

One of the things I learned from this is that I am naturally intuitive and often this is how I "see'" my world, and make decisions.... (more)
