We thought long and hard about the hottest dads in Hollywood, and decided that these are the Top 10 DILFs of today. The only requirements for this list are to be a dad and someone we’d like to... well, you get the idea. Several honorable mentions were also considered, but when it came down to it, the chosen men have a little bit of everything that makes them the ULTIMATE DILFs.

10.) Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson - We can smell what the Rock is cooking, and we’d let him bench press us anytime.

9.) Jon Stewart - His wit and unwavering... (more)

American Politics 101

By AmyO, published on Sep 18, 2008

1.) You cannot question our VP Candidate’s experience

But we CAN question the experience of the Democrats presidential candidate…So what if our presidential candidate is 72 years old and has had melanoma 4 times? That doesn’t give Democrat’s the right to say the VP candidate’s experience is fair game and look into what she has done in office that speaks to her ability to run the country. Anyone that tries to say otherwise, including the media, is an elitist, a liberal, and a sexist.

2.) We can say we will bring Bills and legislation that... (more)

Not Scared Of Sarah

By AmyO, published on Sep 4, 2008

I hate to admit this, but I was worried about Sarah Palin’s speech yesterday. All the negative media attention she has garnered in the last few days has been a boost to the Democrats and provided a question mark about if John McCain’s judgement is really there. So, I worried, if she does a good job, she would surely take away some of that boost.

Fortunately, it turns out I don’t have anything to worry about. To the Republican base, Sarah “Barracuda” Palin did everything Right, if you will pardon the pun. She “rallied her base” and attacked the Democrats for their “liberal media and empty... (more)

Fighting Cancer With Celebrity Telethons

By AmyO, published on Sep 1, 2008

On September 5, ABC, NBC and CBS will all participate in one of the largest cancer telethons called "Stand Up to Cancer" with over 60 celebrities coming out to help raise money for cancer research. Everyone from Jessica Alba to Keanu Reeves to Jennifer Garner to Salma Hayek will be on hand to encourage viewers to donate money to help scientists find a cure and work together.

This is such an important cause. A woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every three minutes and its hard to think of anybody who hasn't known someone that was touched by one form or another of this disease. I lost... (more)

And The Republican VP Nomination Goes To...Sarah Palin?

By AmyO, published on Aug 31, 2008

In an apparently successful attempt to steal the spotlight from Barack Obama's big night at the Democratic Convention, John McCain let it be known he had picked his VP. Who will it be everyone wondered...Mitt Romney, no... Tom Ridge, no... Kay Bailey-Hutchinson, no... It is...drumroll please... Sarah Palin!

Wait, what? The governor of Alaska who has been in office for 18 months? Seriously? Oh, ok, its an attempt to get the "disenfranchised" Democrats that voted for Hillary Clinton. Wow...What an insult to women everywhere!

Sarah Palin is EXTREMELY Pro-Life, Pro-Gun, Pro Alaska... (more)

Inspired By Obama & Looking Towards The Future

By AmyO, published on Aug 29, 2008

The Democratic Convention was quite the event this week. It is hard to see how the Republicans can top what the Democrats have done. But I am sure they will resort to their negative tactics and fear-mongering to try and reverse all the excitement and inspiration from this week.

Obama amazed me last night. He said everything he needed to say and told John McCain “If you want to debate on temperament and judgement, that is a debate I will show up for.” It was what people who doubted him needed to hear. Anyone who doesn’t think he is ready to lead needs to look at the past 8 years and see... (more)

Young People And Voting

By AmyO, published on Aug 21, 2008

So I am turning 26 years old next week. This may sound young to some, old to others, but to me it just seems weird. Life has been flying by since college and I know it will just continue to do so. However, the course of what happens over my lifetime is still undecided and I would like to know that I am at least making a contribution to my fate.

I am four years away from turning 30 and about to vote in my third election. In the past two elections I have voted in, neither candidate has won. It is very disheartening, to say the least, as I do feel passionately about politics and the course... (more)
