There are many people who care deeply about living in harmony with the environment. And for this reason, the notion of living green is immediately appealing.

Likewise, there are still many people who are not instantly turned on by the idea of eco-friendly lifestyles.

And there are those who fall in the middle of this spectrum. They are concerned about environmental issues, but they are not die hard green enthusiasts either.

Women And Self Esteem

As a workaholic, I am constantly in the frame of mind of getting things done and making things work. I really strive to do what is best for my own inner growth and do right by other people. I am not religious or anything. But I really make an effort to treat other people the way I want to be treated.

But being as cerebral as I tend to be I wonder if I've somehow become emotionally detached or just unable to relate to the majority of other women. Because I have gotten to the point where I have to analyze them like a different species or something.

The Canine Lives Behind Puppy Mills

Over the weekend, I went to a dog adoption event in Los Angeles.

These are some of the miniature pinschers rescued from a puppy mill in Riverside. The picture above simply looks like a group of average dogs resting and enjoying the company of each other.  But they endured a heart breaking past It is understandable that people are particular about getting a dog breed who would best match their lifestyle. Rabbits Make Great House Pets

Yes, you heard me right. Rabbits make great house pets, not cage pets. I should know because I have one.

Like everyone else I used to associate rabbits with hutches and hay. I also thought they were the kind of pet that only little kids had. But a couple years ago, someone told me that it is possible to litter train a rabbit and keep it inside the house, much like a little dog. This person's mom had one for several years. And because my heart yearned to have a little dog, but my pragmatic self knew that I didn't have the time to really take care of one, I was sold!
