BlogCatalog a place where bloggers & Readers Connect

BlogCatalog's home page is a place where bloggers and readers connect in more then one-ways then one.

The biggest question being tossed around lately at me is: Do you think that blogging will eventually die out? My answer to that is: As long as you’re staring into that beautiful screen of yours where you’re getting most of your information from, then “NO”, no way, of course not. Not only is blogging bringing in a little extra cash for some of you bloggers but also it’s become a social phenomenon. Today it’s a whole new universe, and at BlogCatalog we’re connecting not only to our readers but also to the people behind their blogs. Our own blog, on BlogCatalog, has become quite interesting to thousands of other bloggers who come from different walks of life. Allow me to share a little bit about these people who call BC home.

Take a little time to get to know Mrs. Green on BC, whose family has become the “greenest” (environmentally and socially conscious) about everything around them. They share their wonderful ideas on how to do this little by little, as every little bit counts.

Meet Rachel Magario, a blind visionary whose name I think should be Rachel M. IMPRESARIO. This woman is a “real” visionary in every sense of the word. She’s transformed huge challenges into wonderful opportunities and lives her life to the fullest by sharing and appreciating all around her. She gives a new meaning to the word “disabled”. Find out what she wishes people would do with the eyes we have and take for granted.

Read about Rachel here.

Wanna learn a little bit more about Social Media and being a tech nerd? Get to know Brandi Cole who’s a grad student at Hult International Business School, which happens to be at the epicenter of social media, and who must have tons of information especially since she’s dated Ron Paul. That alone must be an ear full, just imagine the inside scope to that media. From Seattle to San Francisco where social media, Tech News and Networking events come together.

Here what she’s saying about blogging and how long it’s going to be around.

Check it out here.

Tired of reading about people? How about a little SpunkyBean with a great brew? Find out how he got perking on his own blog and his blend of entertainment for those of us that love reading about the best shows on TV.

The Life and Times of a coffee bean can be found here..

How is technology really affecting our culture? Vanita Cyril, author of “After Bedtime Blog,” focuses her techie brain on helping Moms with issues related to technology and using the right tools, by integrating them with life experiences. How?

  1. Raise awareness of your brand.
  2. Test out ideas and gain valuable feedback from consumers on those ideas.

Build relationships with consumers and colleagues. Also, because search engines love fresh material, keeping an active blog increases your indexed pages in search engine databases, increasing your chances of consumers finding your site whenever they search for something that relates to your business.

Is it all in the name? If “:D” stands for a smile, then I would say “yes”. Learn more about Denise, a/k/a “Simply :D” who lives her life by the “Golden Rule”. She’s an animal lover who believes sometimes we are our own biggest challenge. Find out what her personal formula is to achieving what it is you really want. Getting clear on your outcome is more then just focus. You have to be clear on where you’re going, when you want to get there, and have a realistic plan to support it. All while maintaining a positive outlook! Her formula can apply to any one who's has a particular goal to achieve. Read more……

Jaime L. Smith and her Animaniacs. Her pets are zany to the max, bloggers sit back and relax, enjoy everything about pets from A – Z. Why she’s even won 5000 pounds of pet food for her local furry little friends. She also happens to have the best pictures on her blog with the “Best Positions in Bed” for animals. Think I am kidding? Find out here. So many thoughts fur Paws.

One of our own here on the Broo has also been featured. The lovely red haired “Doodologist” Claire Pitt aka “crpitt”. Her obsession with pens goes way back to her school days when her books were covered with doodles.

Last but not least, hear why Tony Berkman dislikes advertising with a passion. Tony says: “The message is change or die. Yet change is happening too fast for most old-timers and their heads are spinning around like zombies. Their PR and advertising executives are wasting millions arguing over moot points and trying the latest-greatest tools sold by sophisticated corporate consultants (yes, if all else fails bring in the consultants). The result is that most of these CEOs cannot make a decision.”?

Connecting with the bloggers behind their blogs, is more then interesting, its just plain fun.

Opinions are good because they make life more interesting. Melody I like your take. We are global and sometimes it is hard to take in. We're just so darned (oh no ... I sounded like that sarah woman just then!) used to the elite jet-setters, that we are surprised to find we are elite virtual travelers.

The most important gift we can give our readers is to write as if our English teacher is reading. We need to set good examples, so they will understand how to speak, when they come to visit the USA.

I am a fan of Blog catalog especially of the phenomenal social causes that generate much needed awareness and action through its Unite campaigns. Thanks to BC for such great efforts that not only unites voices around the world, but also is a great platform for likeminded people.
