Humor could possibly be the key to long lasting love.

Over the years, I have found that a little humor goes a long way. If you are in a relationship with someone who can make you laugh, you truly have something that can last a lifetime.

Most women I know if you ask them what they look for in a relationship, one of the first things they will say is a sense of humor. Someone who can make you laugh, who can make you smile, who can make your heart smile, that is someone with whom most women can build a lifetime relationship. Laughter truly is the bed medicine and in a relationship it can be like an elixir of long lasting life.

When I talk to someone who has been in a successful relationship for a long time, they always say that their partner always makes them laugh, makes them smile. No matter what they may go through, be it good or bad, their partner is always there with a ready sense of humor to get them through together with a laugh. Sure, they have tough times, everyone does. But they get through with a smile. Laughter in the toughest times can be truly healing to the mind, the spirit, even to the body.

For myself, I know that my closest and best relationships are with those who can make me laugh, make me smile. Those who can touch my heart with humor. I know that no matter how I might feel at any given time that these people can just turn it upside down with a few words or a look and I feel better. And I love them for it. A little laughter goes a long way. In fact it can go as far as your lifetime with someone who can truly make you laugh to your heart.

In a relationship, a sense of humor can be one of the main ingredients to longevity. Not only the length of the relationship, but quite possibly the length of your life. Two hearts that laugh together can stay together - humor is the key to happiness inside and a happy laugh outside. I hope you have someone who can make your heart laugh.

I have been married a long time almost 21 years and I know it to be true - but it's true in any relationship of note that I have - laughter is love :D
