The Scent of You

Just a Glimpse. Just a Thought. A Whisper Too. It's What I Want. I Only Want You.

I think of you as I take a breath.
I want your eyes on me no less.

I can't stop wondering how time progressed,
Without your touch upon my breast.

I need the sense of you near me.
I need the scent of you on me.

I want to feel your warm, soft skin.
It's your strong arms I ache to be in.

I know the moments seem long apart
When you and I share heart to heart

The laugh of life an love of spirit
I know you understand and hear it.

Because as I breathe in and I exhale,
I realize to no avail,

That my love, my life, my soul, my heart
Is yours alone to set apart

I choose to give my love in full
As only God alone can pull

The two of us not one but two,
As He sees fit, guiding me and you.

The scent, the sense, the whisper too.
I am alive and made brand new.

What seemed a dream is now the dawn.
My life anew. My heartbreak gone.

Beautifully written. The stanzas smoothly flow one to another with curiosity raising.... with a bit of jealousy.. this beloved is a very lucky human being.

I like your phaseology.

Secret feelings never shared. :) It was written the day he asked for time and the day that I realized I could find a friend and love in the same person.
